He suggested if the City <br /> had been prepared to spend funds to remove <br /> the fence and for landscaping, they could <br /> be used to restore the piers , and believed <br /> Gas Tax funds could be used for this purpose . <br /> City Manager responded that Gas Tax money could not be used in this <br /> situation . <br /> Patsy Grundemann , 1?50 Woodside Road , <br /> questioned where the $15 , 000 would come <br /> from (estimated as cost for landscaping , <br /> including removal of fence ) . <br /> City Manager indicated this would have to come from Capital Improve - <br /> ment funds if approved by Council in the next fiscal year budget . <br /> In discussion by Council , Councilman Henderson indicated that infor- <br /> mation to be provided by Staff was needed as to whether the restored <br /> fence met requirements set forth in the recommendations , and suggested <br /> that Council not take action at this time . Councilman Henderson <br /> moved that Staff make an examination , including costs for replacing <br /> concrete piers , and report back to Council at the time of the next <br /> Community Progress Report , seconded by Councilman Rhodes . <br /> Dolores Gay , 1768-70 Woodside , felt that <br /> City had an obligation when it gives a developer <br /> permission to develop a strip in this manner , to <br /> see that the developer maintains it , and described <br /> her efforts in policing portions of the strip . She <br /> indicated there are funds available to cities for <br /> "beautification " and cited other Peninsula cities <br /> which have availed themselves of these funds . <br /> She did not feel the property owners should have <br /> such ultimatums laid down to them . <br /> After brief additional discussion , motion carried .
