Schnoor advised he had spoken with Dr . <br /> Hutchinson about using Woodside High School <br /> fcr a practice field , but was told they would <br /> rather not take the responsibility . He <br /> stated they were running out of time , and <br /> were faced with the possibility of having no <br /> field at all . A. large field was necessary <br /> and these were scarce . <br /> Councilman Petersen indicated he saw no objection to use of the Park , since <br /> there had been no complaints last year . Councilman Williams felt that <br /> where the City charges rents for use of the Community Activities Building , <br /> allowing the exhibition would be violating good faith . In the discussion <br /> there was reference to an ordinance prohibiting the use in the Park , <br /> which the City Attorney indicated was not the fact , but that this was an <br /> administrative decision . Council suggested that the Council ' s School <br /> Liaison Committee might meet with representatives of the Club and the <br /> ?Woodside High School Board , and attempt to find out if the Woodside High <br /> School grounds might be avail_ able . Councilman Rhodes advised that as Vice <br /> Chairman of the School Liaison Committee , he would request a meeting for <br /> Thursday , February 10th , if the Club could wait until the following Monday <br /> for an answer . Councilman Weymouth noted there had been considerable <br /> discussion of the matter , and on the premise of Staff recommendation , did <br /> not feel Council should defer action with respect to the Red Morton <br /> Community Park . <br /> Mr . Lee Parker , 6 Meadow Lane , Redwood City , <br /> discussed the development of the club , and <br /> that there had been no Problems in the past <br /> with regard to use of the site . <br /> Councilman Petersen moved to postpone a decision until Council meeting of <br /> February ltd- , 1972 , and request the School Liaison Committee to contact <br /> the people who could help , seconded by Councilman Rhodes . <br /> Mr . Anderson commented that one reason for <br /> the contest was that it attracted youngsters <br /> in the neighborhood , and felt it should be <br /> held where there is access to the community . <br /> Motion carried , Councilman Yeymouth voting no . (MINUTE ORDER #72 -28 ) <br /> Mayor Fury ordered a five -minute recess at 10 : 15 P . M . <br /> Councilman Petersen moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO . 6671 ESTABLISHING UNDERGROUND <br /> UTILITIES !!DVISORY COMMITTEE FOR THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY , seconded by <br /> Councilman Rhodes . <br /> Staff report indicated that an Underground Utilities Advisory Committee <br /> was being proposed in order to formulate a specific program for the <br /> underg. rounding of existing overhead utilities , in keeping with Public <br /> Utilities Commission regulations and City Ordinances .
