(2 ) Councilman Henderson request for approval to attend Joint Committee on Seismic Safety Conference , May 10- 12 , 1972 , and needed early confirmation of approval since she had been asked to be on a panel , (MINUTE ORDER #72-65-B ) Mayor Bury noted League of California Cities meeting in San Mateo on March 24 , 1972 . Mayor Bury reminded Council that Redwood City would be host City for Council of Mayors March 29 , 1972 , Councilman Henderson moved to approve CONSENT CALENDAR , Items ( a ) through ( c ) , seconded by Councilman Rhodes and carried on roll call vote , Councilman Keckley being noted absent , COMMUNICATIONS : ( a ) Written - copies submitted to Council : ( 1 ) California Chamber of Commerce , 455 Capital Mall , Sacramento , announcement of Solid Waste Management Conference in Sacramento on April 3 - 5 , 1972 . (2 ) Letter of resignation from the Park and Recreation Commission by William R . Welsh , Mayor Bury was requested to accept the resignation with regrets on behalf of Council . (3 ) Chamber of Commerce Annual Planning for Progress Seminar , April 21 , 22 and 23 , 1972 , Konocti Harbor Inn . Council approved Council attendance along with any Department Heads so desiring to go . City Manager felt Departmental budgets would be able to finance their attending from their respective departmets . Councilman Henderson moved approval for Council and Department Heads to participate in this Seminar , seconded by Councilman Petersen and carried .
