I <br /> 460 <br /> After some discussion and Vice Mayor Keckley ' s noting that the Rix Industries <br /> bid was only $34 . 50 over the estimate , Councilman Weymouth moved to adopt <br /> RESOLUTION NO . 6698 AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE FURNISHING OF ONE AIR <br /> COMPRESSOR , seconded by Councilman Rhodes and carried on roll call vote , <br /> Councilman Williams and Mayor Bury being noted absent . <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR : <br /> (a ) ACCOUNTS PAYABLE, Nos . 89322 to 89445 , inclusive , totaling $35 , 935 . 93 . <br /> ( Council action would approve accounts for payment by the City ) <br /> (b ) Request by Councilman Henderson for approval of her attendance at League <br /> of California Cities ' Statewide Tax and Legislative Conference , April 26-27 , <br /> 1972 , at Woodlake Inn , 500 Leisure Lane , Sacramento . <br /> She felt this would be a valuable session for other Council members to <br /> attend , and suggested that approval should extend to other Councilman , as <br /> well as interested Department Heads . Vice -Mayor Keckley concurred that <br /> members of Staff and Council should be encouraged to attend this meeting . <br /> Councilman Weymouth moved to approve CONSENT CALENDAR , Items (a ) and (b ) , <br /> seconded by Councilman Rhodes and carried . T . C . , expressing their concern <br /> of the possibility that crossing guards will be removed from the <br /> intersection of Hudson and Roosevelt if proposal for a traffic signal <br /> is implemented . <br /> Recommendation : Refer to Staff for review and report . <br /> 3 .
