461 <br /> Councilman Henderson moved to accept COMMUNICATIONS and authorize implementa- <br /> tion as directed by Council , seconded by Councilman Petersen and carried . <br /> (MINUTE ORDER #72 -70 ) <br /> (b ) Oral - Instruction cards available . <br /> 1 . Amy Sugimoto , 925 Woodside Road , Redwood City , Group Administrator <br /> for Government Affairs Program students , requested to be heard <br /> regarding Sequoia High School ' s Japanese Tea Garden . She mentioned <br /> the run down condition of these gardens and that the Executive <br /> Cabinet of the school is now trying to renovate them as one of their <br /> projects . She indicated she would like to ask community support for <br /> this project in securing materials and funds . The school now has <br /> $ 1100 allotted toward this project . A list was read indicating mater- <br /> ials needed . <br /> After some discussion it was felt that the Sequoia P . T . A . could support <br /> this project , and Vice -Mayor Keckley also suggested meetings might be <br /> set up with the Chamber of Commerce relative to getting cooperation from <br /> the business community . <br /> Vice -Mayor Keckley offered the name of Bill Warren in nomination for one of <br /> the two vacancies on the Park and Recreation Commission, and provided a <br /> biographical sketch to each Council member . <br /> Councilman Petersen moved to adjourn the meeting , seconded by Councilman <br /> Weymouth and carried .
