Minutes of Regular Meeting Redwood City Council April 5 , 1971 7 : 30 P . M . Pledge of Allegiance led by Councilman Rhodes . Invocation led by Reverend Ralph Daniel , First Baptist Church . ON ROLL CALL , the following were noted present : Councilmen Mary W . Henderson , Paul C . Keckley , Herbert G . Petersen , William C . Rhodes , Ray A . Weymouth , James S . Williams , Mayor Robert H . Bury , and City Clerk Marian McCrindle . Also noted present were City Manager Howard C . Ullrich , City Attorney David E . Schricker , Planning Director Ken Schroeter , City Treasurers Collector Harriet Drivon , Police Chief John R . McDonald , Jr . , Fire Chief John Keller , City Auditor-Accountant Jack Ference , Construction Engineer William T . Martin , and Deputy City Clerk Frances I . Reggetts . Councilman Henderson moved to approve , as mailed , Minutes of Regular Meeting of March 22 , 1971 , seconded by Councilman Petersen and carried . Councilman Henderson moved to approve , as mailed , Minutes of Adjourned Regular Meeting of March 24 , 1971 , seconded by Councilman Petersen and carried , Councilman Weymouth abstaining . Loyalty Oath was administered by City Clerk to the following new Police Reserve Officers : John L . Angelo , Todd C . Bailey , Michael K. Broyles , George A . Kord , Terry H . Meek , and Robert E . Sample . Mayor Bury presented a Certificate of Distinguished Service to Robert Whitmore , retiring member of Park and Recreation Commission , with appropriate ex- pressions of appreciation for his many years of valued service to the community . Loyalty Oath was then administered by City Clerk. to Reuben Haynes , newly appointed member , and Larry Schenck and Dorothea Terrill , reappointed members , Park and Recreation Commission , after which Mayor Bury presented to them Certificates of Appointment .
