91 <br /> Motion carried on roll call vote , Councilman Williams voting no . <br /> Councilman Henderson moved to accept the Committee ' s report and implement <br /> recommendations , seconded by Councilman Keckley and carried . (MINUTE ORDER #71F7 ) <br /> ACCEPTANCE OF PROJECT , Bridge Parkway Bridge , GID 1-64 . Staff report indicated <br /> the project had been completed by Liton Construction Company , the contractor , <br /> in accordance with plans and specifications . Final inspections had been made <br /> by City Staff and District Engineers , and acceptance was recommended , subject <br /> to the usual one -year guarantees . <br /> Councilman Keckley moved to accept the project , subject to the usual one -year <br /> guarantee of workmanship and materials , seconded by Councilman Weymouth and <br /> carried . (MINUTE ORDER #71- 58 ) <br /> Mr , Grant Ross , 465 Trident , inquired if <br /> a name had been selected for the bridge , <br /> and suggested that the residents in Redwood <br /> Shores , through their Association , might <br /> be interested in sending in names . <br /> Mayor Bury indicated the suggestion would be taken into consideration . <br /> Councilman Williams moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO , 648o APPROVING PLANS AND <br /> SPECIFICATIONS FOR RESURFACING OF DESIGNATED STREETS ; AND AUTHORIZING CITY <br /> CLERK TO CALL FOR BIDS THEREFOR , seconded by Councilman Rhodes , Councilman <br /> Keckley asked for a brief explanation of conditions which must be met in <br /> order to qualify for resurfacing . Construction Engineer responded that <br /> condition of the street is first consideration , as well as availability of <br /> funds . He reviewed condition of each of the streets included in the proposed <br /> resurfacing program . City Manager added that in the case of Winslow Street , <br /> an arrangement had been worked out with contractor on the expansion of the <br /> County building to contribute a portion of the cost , since there had been <br /> some damage to the street during the construction work , and he had elected <br /> to settle in this way , rather than make repairs at the time , Motion carried <br /> on roll call vote . <br /> Permits for Solicitors , Peddlers and Charitable Sales , Councilman Keckley, as <br /> Chairman of the Ordinance Review Committee , presented a summary of philosophy <br /> for proposed amendment to the Code , which would provide that persons going <br /> door- to-door would be required to display identification badges for easier <br /> identification , The ordinance would not , however, affect established fund-raising <br /> organizations , such as Heart Fund drives , Scouts , etc . , who would still be <br /> exempt . He referred to a requirement in the proposed ordinance , Subparagraph <br /> physician reputable"A statement from a re h of the City( j ) " p p y y . . . certifying the <br /> applicant to be free of infectious or communicable disease , . .
