156 <br /> Staff report indicated that during 1970-1971 , the City received $3 , 150 <br /> from new water connections and $ 9, 495 from sewer connection fees for <br /> new connections in Redwood Shores area , and in accordance with prior <br /> practice , these balances were to be transferred to GID 1 -64 Facilities <br /> Bond Interest and Redemption Fund to be used for bond service in order <br /> to reduce the ad valorem tax levy on Redwood Shores property , Motion <br /> carried . <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR : <br /> ( a ) ACCOUNTS PAYABLE, Nos , 84272 to 84421 , inclusive , totaling <br /> $ 195 , 102 . 49 . ( Council action would approve accounts for payment <br /> by City . ) <br /> ( b ) Mayor Bury noted that San Mateo County would be honoring Jack Estes , <br /> County Assessor , for thirty years ' service to the County on May 25 , <br /> 1971 , and suggested Council Resolution in that regard . <br /> ( c ) Adoption of RESOLUTION NO . 6512 CONGRATULATING AND COMMENDING <br /> JACK H . ESTES , SAN MATEO COUNTY ASSESSOR , IN RECOGNITION OF HIS <br /> 30 YEARS OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO . <br /> ( d ) Mayor Bury noted the recommendation of the County for establishment <br /> of a new tourist and convention program , and meeting scheduled for <br /> 6 : 30 p . m . on May 20 . Councilmen Henderson and Petersen had represented <br /> Council in the past , and he suggested either or both might care to <br /> attend . Councilmen Petersen and Henderson expressed willingness to <br /> represent Council at that meeting . Staff is to respond to the County . <br /> ( e ) Endorsement of nomination of Councilman Henderson as ABAG ' s repre- <br /> sentative to BCDC from South Bay area . <br /> Councilman Petersen moved to approve the CONSENT CALENDAR , Items (a ) through <br /> (e ) , seconded by Councilman Rhodes and carried on roll call vote . (MINUTE <br /> ORDER #71 - 91 ) <br /> COMMUNICATIONS : <br /> 1 . City of Walnut Creek advising of the recent Supreme Court ruling on <br /> "Park Land Dedication " in which City had joined in an amici curiae <br /> brief for suit filed against the City of Walnut Creek on this subject . <br /> Referred to Park and Recreation Commission . <br /> 2 . City of San Mateo requesting support of their recommendation to the <br /> Board of Supervisors that the Regional Planning Commission be assigned <br /> the task of developing sub - regional plans for disposal of sanitary <br /> sewage within the County . <br /> Councilman Keckley felt that in view of participation <br /> by two other cities with Redwood City in SCSP , additional <br /> input should be obtained from San Carlos and Belmont . <br /> 0 <br />
