<br /> Councilman Henderson moved to accept COMMTJNICATIONS and recommendations , seconded

<br /> ADDENDUM : Report and recommendation of Council Transportation Committee ,
<br /> Councilman Rhodes , Chairman of the Committee , reported briefly on their
<br /> meeting of May 6 , in which it was recommended that blind persons be
<br /> permitted to ride the municipal bus system without charge .
<br /> Councilman Rhodes moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO , 6511 AMENDING RESOLUTION NO ,
<br /> 5951 RELATING TO ROUTES OF TRAVEL, HOURS OF OPERATION, AND RATES OF CHARGE
<br /> FOR THE MUNICIPAL TRANSIT SYSTEM , seconded by Councilman Williams . Mayor
<br /> Bury commented that other communities offer this service , but at other than
<br /> peak commute hours . After this suggestion was briefly discussed , Councilman
<br /> Keckley offered an amended motion , to specify "between the hours of 9 : 00 a , m .
<br /> and 4 : 00 p . m . " , seconded by Councilman Henderson , and carried on roll call
<br /> vote .
<br /> Councilman Rhodes briefly reviewed other recommendations of the Transportation
<br /> Committee report , indicating there was a correction to Item 4 , that the transit
<br /> system bench to be funded out of contribution by the Redwood City Bobbies is
<br /> to be placed at Woodside Plaza. on Massachusetts Avenue . Yellow Cab request
<br /> for fare increase on a basis to reflect cost of living increase or decrease
<br /> granted City employees was unanimously recommended against .
