158 <br /> Councilman Henderson felt that consideration of accepting the report should <br /> be held over until the following week (May 24th ) , since the item did not <br /> appear on the agenda until tonight . Mayor Bury requested that relative to <br /> acceptance , the remainder of tit report would be continued to May 24 , 1971 . <br /> It was noted that the CATV request for rate increase had been referred <br /> to the Council Franchise Committee , Councilman Petersen , Chairman . <br /> Mayor Bury reported briefly on progress of Griffenhagen-Kroeger in their <br /> recruiting efforts . As of May 14 ( last day to receive applications ) , there <br /> were just under 100 applicants for the City Manager position , two- thirds <br /> from out of. State . A report is expected shortly , and Council will be asked <br /> to engage in interviews . <br /> Motion to adjourn to Executive Session , as ordered by Mayor Bury for the <br /> purpose of discussing matters of litigation , was made by Councilman <br /> Williams , seconded by Councilman Petersen and carried . Meeting adjourned <br /> to Executive Session at 9 : 45 P . M . <br /> On motion of Councilman Petersen , seconded by Councilman Williams and carried , <br /> Council adjourned from Executive Session to Regular Meeting at 10 : 22 p . m . <br /> On motion of Councilman Keckley , seconded by Councilman Henderson and carried , <br /> Staff was requested to prepare the necessary documents to provide for <br /> compensation of the person appointed as City Manager pro tem in the amount <br /> of $ 100 per week extra compensation in addition to that which such person <br /> receives as an officer or employee of the City , such compensation to be <br /> paid retroactively from the date of such appointment .
