166 <br /> Mayor Bury suggested that rather than setting the item for a particular <br /> agenda , this should be included as part of report back to Council of a <br /> regularly scheduled Committee meeting . <br /> Review of alternate plans for municipal transit shelter , submitted by <br /> Leong & McDougall , and by Chamber of Commerce Committee , was made by the <br /> Committee . Chamber of Commerce rendering is to be reviewed by Architectural <br /> Committee , after which Transportion Committee will be in position to make <br /> recommendation . <br /> Councilman Henderson requested that copy of the response to Leong & <br /> McDougall ' s letter of March 19 to Council , be provided to Council . <br /> Councilman Rhodes moved to accept the report and authorize implementation of <br /> recommendations , seconded by Councilman Henderson and carried . (MINUTE <br /> ORDER #71 --100 ) <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR : <br /> ( a ) Councilman Keckley moved to adopt ORDINANCE NO . 1491 DECLARING A NEED <br /> FOR A REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY TO FUNCTION IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND <br /> DECLARING THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY AS THE AGENCY , seconded by <br /> Councilman Williams and carried on roll call vote , Councilman Petersen <br /> voting no . <br /> (b ) Adoption of ORDINANCE NO . 1492 APPROPRIATING $9 , 495 FROM UNBUDGETED <br /> UNAPPROPRIATED BALANCE OF THE SEWER FUND, AND APPROPRIATING $3 , 150 <br /> FROM THE UNBUDGETED UNAPPROPRIATED BALANCE OF THE WATER FUND TO PROVIDE <br /> FOR PAYMENT OF PRINCIPAL AND INTEREST ON GENERAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT <br /> NO . 1-64 , 1964 FACILITIES BONDS . <br /> Ordinances were introduced at Council meeting of May <br /> 17 , 1971 and had been published . <br /> ( c ) DAMAGE CLAIM of Wallie Reid , 1252 Johnson Street , Redwood City, for <br /> property damages alleged to have been caused by improper use of weed <br /> killer spray by City ' s contractor . Club Mexicano-Americano , addressed to City Manager , request for approval of <br /> procedures similar to those followed last year for conducting the Second <br /> Annual Mexican American Fiesta, September 16-18 , 1971 . <br /> Councilman Rhodes felt that private organization might <br /> furnish the flags this year , rather than the City . Mayor <br /> Bury asked that Staff make a note of this suggestion . <br /> Paul Sedillo , representing Club Mexicano-Americano , <br /> advised that the group was requesting the same <br /> procedure as last year . <br /> Mayor Bury asked that this be referred to Staff for <br /> recommendation . <br /> 2 . Fernando Vega, Chairman , Redwood City Neighborhood Development Council , <br /> requesting permission to use the property site of the HUD Neighborhood <br /> Facility on Middlefield Road for the purpose of operating a " Flea Market " <br /> on weekends in order to raise funds for their organization . <br /> Recommendation : Refer to Staff for report back to Council . <br />
