181 <br /> Councilman Keckley moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO , 6529 AUTHORIZING THE DISPOSAL <br /> OF DESIGNATED LIBRARY ADMINISTRATIVE RECORDS , seconded by Councilman Henderson . <br /> City Librarian ' s report to Council indicated that certain of the administrative <br /> records had been retained longer than was legally required , some dating back <br /> to 1907 and extending through 1965 , and were believed to be of no further <br /> use to the Library or the City . Due to crowded conditions in the Main Library , <br /> he intended to make similar requests for disposition of obsolete records in <br /> the future . Staff report indicated resolution <br /> would request San Mateo County Board of Supervisors to exempt the area served by <br /> the Menlo Park Sanitary District from proposed Sewage Planning Group . Motion carried on roll call vote , Councilman Petersen <br /> being noted absent . <br /> Councilman Rhodes moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO . 6531 PROHIBITING VEHICULAR PARKING <br /> ON DESIGNATED PORTIONS OF WOODSIDE ROAD ( STATE HIGHWAY ROUTE 114) IN THE CITY <br /> OF REDWOOD CITY, seconded by Councilman Williams . The resolution is required <br /> by the State Division of Highways in order for City to be authorized to prohibit <br /> curb parking at certain locations on both sides of Woodside Road at , and adjacent <br /> to , intersections where installation of left turn lanes in the median also <br /> permits U-turns , and such U-turns cannot be completed in one forward movement <br /> without using the additional width of the curb parking lane . Traffic Committee <br /> recommended approval after conducting field tests which indicated that , for <br /> reasonable safety , curb restriction of 75 feet commencing from the nose of <br /> the median in the direction of traffic flow is necessary .
