<br /> exits on Veterans Boulevard .

<br /> 1 . Request of Jacquard ( Jack ) Spivey, as representative of youth of the Douglas -
<br /> Fair Oaks section of Redwood City, who wished to address Council concerning
<br /> a contribution for a marathon basketball game .
<br /> David Walker, spokesman for the group , introduced Jack Spivey
<br /> and Sherron Triplett , and outlined the program being worked on ,
<br /> noting the over-all shortage of employment opportunities , and
<br /> indicated they hoped to put on a series of sports events to
<br /> raise funds . The money would be divided up to make jobs for the
<br /> young people in the community . The activities would include a
<br /> marathon basketball game , baseball , and track and field games .
