205 <br /> Specifications for the three classifications were reviewed and approved by <br /> Personnel Board at their meeting of June 22 , 1971 . <br /> Councilman Henderson moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO . 6549 APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS <br /> FOR POSITIONS OF LIBRARY MONITOR , PARKING METER REPAIRMAN-COLLECTOR , AND EQUIP- <br /> MENT MECHANIC , seconded by Councilman Petersen , Councilman Henderson noted the <br /> Library Monitor position indicated as a retitling and questioned what the posi - <br /> tion had been to this point . <br /> City Librarian responded the position was one that has been utilized at the <br /> Main Library two hours per night , four nights per week , and only during school <br /> semesters . College students have been employed in this position , and at times , <br /> a graduate student at Stanford . The person is responsible for maintaining <br /> order so that everyone can use the Library correctly . Previously , Staff had <br /> tried to cope with disciplinary problems which took them from their primary <br /> duties , He indicated that with this minor expenditure , the problem has been <br /> corrected . In response to additional questions by Councilman Henderson , he <br /> advised the position has existed for eight years , and that the job title at <br /> Schaberg was Library Page II , and at the Main Library , Intermediate Clerk at <br /> 1st Step . <br /> Motion carried on roll call vote , Councilmen Rhodes , Weymouth, Williams and <br /> Mayor Bury being noted absent . <br /> Councilman Henderson moved to introduce Ordinance amending Sections 17 , 23 and 53 <br /> of Ordinance No . 1483 , the Salary Ordinance , relating to positions of Parking <br /> Meter Repairman-Collector , Equipment Mechanic and Library Monitor , seconded by <br /> Councilman Petersen and carried . <br /> Request for approval of appointment of Zoning Administrator at the 3rd Step . <br /> Planning Director requested the appointment to fill the recently vacated <br /> position . At their meeting of June 22 , 1971 , Personnel Board recommended <br /> approval by Council . City Manager pro tem advised that the arrangement <br /> proposed is to hire a particular individual, who is available to start as of <br /> July 1st , only until normal recruitment procedures can be followed and formal <br /> appointment made . <br /> Councilman Petersen moved to authorize appointment of Zoning Administrator at the <br /> 3rd Step , seconded by Councilman Henderson and carried . ( MINUTE ORDER #71-122 ) <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR : <br /> ( a) Adoption of ORDINANCE NO . 1130 . 133 ADDING SECTION 60 . 9 , 1 TO ORDINANCE NO . <br /> 1130 , THE REDWOOD CITY ZONING ORDINANCE , REZONING PROPERTY IN THE VICINITY <br /> OF VERA AVENUE AND EL CAMINO REAL. <br />
