Redwood City Sunrise Lions Club for permission to close off traffic on <br /> portion of Broadway in vicinity of Douglas for a Go-Cart race sponsored <br /> by their group and to be conducted by the National Go- Cart Association on <br /> July 25th . <br /> Recommendation : If approved , refer to Staff for <br /> implementation . <br /> 3 . Resolution adopted by City of San Bruno urging State Legislature to act <br /> with all due haste to resolve distress of constituents to equalize <br /> distribution of service costs and to grant needed relief to property <br /> taxpayers . <br /> Recommendation : Refer to Legislative Committee . <br /> 4 . E . G . Tiegel , 521 Arlington Road , expressing concern for costs to City for <br /> expenses in Redwood Shores for capital improvements and bond expenses . <br /> Recommendation : Refer to Staff for reply . <br /> 5 . Association of Bay Area Governments , Berkeley, California, memorandum dated <br /> June 21st urging all Supervisors , Mayors , Councilmen , County and City <br /> Managers to communicate their opposition to Assembly Bill 1057 to their <br /> Assemblyman immediately . (ABAG office communicated by telephone on June <br /> 24 to advise the Bill had passed the Assembly and gone to the Senate ) <br /> Councilman Petersen suggested that Council go on record in opposition to <br /> Assembly Bill 1057 . Councilman Henderson reported that , as member of <br /> ABAGts Home Rule Committee , she felt that the Bill would be changed in <br /> the Senate . <br /> Councilman Henderson asked that a further item be added as No . 6 , report dated <br /> June 25 by City Manager concerning Informational Meeting on the Widening of <br /> the Alameda de las Pulgas . She suggested that Council should have a <br /> presentation from Staff , and following additional discussion, Vice-Mayor <br /> Keckley asked that the presentation be set for August 11 , 1971 .
