(MINUTE ORDER #71-123 ) <br /> ADDENDA : <br /> Councilman Petersen moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO . 6551 RENEWING AGREEMENT BETWEEN <br /> THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND THE REDWOOD CITY DOWNTOWN ASSOCIATION, seconded <br /> by Councilman Henderson and carried on roll call vote , Councilmen Rhodes , <br /> Weymouth , Williams and Mayor Bury being noted absent . <br /> REPORT OF BID OPENING , Gasoline requirements for the City , July 1 , 1971-June 30 , <br /> 1972 . Staff report indicated requirements were approximately 125 , 000 gallons <br /> premium type ethyl , and 125 , 000 gallons of non-premium type ( low lead ) . Bids <br /> were opened in City Clerk ' s office at 3 : 00 P .M . on June 28 , and Staff was <br /> prepared to make report and recommendation . Staff <br /> recommended award of contract to the low bidder, Texaco Oil Co . <br /> Councilman Petersen suggested that in the future , bid documents limit the <br /> " favored nation" clause to San Mateo County . In response to question by <br /> Council , Superintendent of Buildings and Maintenance advised that the bids <br /> were favorable in accordance with last year ' s and the year previous . <br /> Councilman Petersen moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO . 6552 AWARDING CONTRACT FOR <br /> FURNISHING GASOLINE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE PERIOD JULY 1 , 1971 THROUGH JUNE 30 , <br /> 1972 ; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT THEREFOR ; AND, REJECTING ALL OTHER <br /> BIDS RECEIVED, seconded by Councilman Henderson and carried on roll call vote , <br /> Councilmen Rhodes , Weymouth, Williams and Mayor Bury being noted absent . <br /> Councilman Petersen commented on a problem he had observed in the past several <br /> years over the July 4th holiday, where activities at the Harbor have resulted <br /> in blocking the channel and preventing some boat owners in Redwood City from <br /> getting into the Bay . He requested Council and City to communicate with the <br /> Port Manager and Port Commission concerning this problem, to insure that <br /> boat owners in Redwood City will be able to get out into the channel during <br /> festivities on July 4th . He indicated it would simply be a matter of placing <br /> buoys to mark a strip for passage of boats , Vice-Mayor Keckley asked that <br /> Port Manager and Commission be informed of the request .
