r 227 Minutes of Regular Meeting Redwood City Council August 2 , 1971 7 : 30 P .M . Information Pavilion (Redwood Shores ) 350 Marine World Parkway , Redwood City Pledge of Allegiance led by Councilman Weymouth . Invocation led by Reverend Lawrence E. Walter, First Congregational Church . ON ROLL CALL, the following were noted present : Councilmen Mary W . Henderson , Herbert G . Petersen , William C . Rhodes , Ray A . Weymouth , James S . Williams , Vice -Mayor Paul C . Keckley , and Deputy City Clerk Frances I . Reggetts . Mayor Robert H . Bury was noted absent . Also noted present were City Manager pro tem Charles Gyselbrecht , City Attorney David E . Schricker , Police Chief John R . McDonald , Jr . , Fire Chief John Keller , City Controller Jack Ference , City Treasurer-Collector Harriet Drivon , Assistant City Librarian Janet Lauer , Park Superintendent Pasco Balzarini , Recreation Director Alfred Morton , Deputy Director of Public Works -Public Services Warren Mitchell , and Stenographer Evelyn Styler . Mr . George Hayes , representing Redwood Shores Homeowners ' Association , thanked the Council and other City officials for holding the Council meeting at Redwood Shores , noting the interest of the residents and the efforts of Mr . Grant Ross in encouraging the Council to hold a meeting in that area . Vice -Mayor Keckley responded , noting the Council had met in other parts of the Community on various occasions and that they looked forward to similar meetings in the future . Councilman Weymouth moved to approve , as mailed , Minutes of Regular Meeting of July 19 , 1971 , seconded by Councilman Rhodes and carried on roll call vote , Councilmen Henderson and Petersen abstaining , having been absent from the meeting , and Mayor Bury being noted absent . Councilman Williams moved to approve Minutes of Council meeting as Board of Equalization for GID 1-64 on July 20 , 1971 ( Community Activities Building , seconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried on roll call vote , Councilman Henderson and Petersen abstaining and Mayor Bury being noted absent . COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES REPORT . City Manager pro tem reported on activities of various projects and departments , ! � as follows : (For complete text , see City Clerk ' s file - Council Miscellaneous . ) Woodside Road Landscaping : Plans and specifications 95% complete for this project and are tentatively scheduled for submission to Council on August 9, 1971 for bid authorization . Alameda de las Pulgas Widening : Informational clinic scheduled for discussion of preliminary studies regarding widening, re - alignment and signalization of "The Alameda. " , 7 : 30 P . M . , August 11 , 1971 , Gold Room of Veterans Memorial Building . Interested property owners are being notified by mail .
