Building Department : In addition to construction under way at Redwood Shores , staff has been advised that 174 new residences will be started in near future - 40 dwellings by Stanley C . Swartz , 34 by American Housing Guild and 100 by Wm , Lyons . Valuation estimated at $3 , 727 , 000 , Levitt & Sons submitted applications for seventeen 16-unit apartment buildings , 29 carport buildings , 2 laundry buildings and 2 recreation buildings to be erected at Redwood Shores on Davit Lane . Estimated valuation is $3 , 754 , 000 , Vice -Mayor Keckley responded to questions concerning street lighting in Redwood Shores , advising that present lighting system is temporary and proposed new lighting will be a completely new system . After brief discussion, City Manager pro tem invited Charles Wynn, Vice-President , Leslie Properties , to report on building progress in Redwood Shores . Mr . Wynn reported that sales at Redwood Shores reached a new high in July with a total of 46 sales . In Marlin 1 , William Lyon has 103 homes completed or under construction and 91 are sold . Twenty-nine new homes in Marlin are occupied , American Housing Guild has 24 homes completed or under construction, of which 13 are occupied . There were 25 sales in Dolphin , Stanley C . Swartz Co . has started 25 new homes on the water in Dolphin in slightly over 30 days . There are 4 new models and 21 production houses . Sales now total 22 . Totals for all of Redwood Shores homes production are : Homes Occupied : 207 ; Total Sales : 303 ; Homes Completed : 227 ; Homes Started : 328 , Mr . Wynn also reported on activities involving the Redwood Shores crew course , the most recent having been the West Coast Regional Rowing Championships , and noted possible future events .
