Of that amount , $27 , 500 . 00 was proposed to be paid by the City as actual cost of construction of the fence in accordance with corrected plans and specifications , the balance to be paid by others . Proposal was based on the premise that no costs would be absorbed by the City which were directly attributable to the error . City Manager advised Council of the required documentation which he had indi- cated in his report was anticipated , and which he now had received , as follows : Letter from original low bidder, Bleily & Collishaw , stating their desire to terminate the contract , and that City would be held harmless from loss of profit , claim , etc . , resulting from said termination ; a joint communication from Rudolph Watson Company and Collins Wholesale Lumber and Fence Company indicating willing- ness to sign change order to engage a subcontractor to build seven-foot fencing in accordance with plans and specifications , and finally , a check for $ 550 . 00 from Ribera & Sue which covers the difference . Councilman Henderson moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO . 6585 RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO . 6557 AND TERMINATING CONTRACT FOR INSTALLATION OF PARKWAY FENCING FOR PENINSULA PARKWAY SECTION NO . 2 AND BRIDGE PARKWAY SECTION NO , 2 FOR REDWOOD CITY GENERAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO . 1-64 , seconded by Councilman Petersen and carried on roll call vote , Councilman Keckley being noted absent . Councilman Weymouth moved to authorize City Manager to issue change order to contract for Peninsula-Bridge Parkway Landscaping -- Section 1 in the grass amount of $28 , 050 . 00 , with the net amount of $27 , 500 . 00 to be paid by the City , for construction and installation of Parkway Fencing, seconded by Councilman Williams and carried . (MINUTE ORDER #71-155 ) Councilman Henderson recalled earlier discussion relating to proposal to landscape portion of Harbor Boulevard , noting that members of the Park Department were present and had brought some interesting renderings . City Manager advised that Park Department had been requested to prepare plans , and that before the matter could be considered by Council it would be necessary to prepare a linear diagram to show what would be landscaped , to arrive at a cost estimate , as well as to determine exactly where trees were to be planted in the right of way . As soon as he had those answers , the proposal would be brought to Council .
