League of California Cities , Peninsula Division, notice of meeting <br /> Thursday, February 11 , at Royal Coach Motor Hotel , San Mateo , with <br /> reservation form . <br /> 8 . Town of Los Altos Hills , Resolution urging the Federal Aviation <br /> Administration to hold public hearings prior to making significant changes <br /> in air traffic patterns . <br /> Recommendation : Refer to Legislative Committee . <br /> With reference to Item 1 , Councilman Rhodes advised that he had represented <br /> the City in a meeting of the PCA Committee on Sunday and that their plans <br /> were progressing well . He believed that the PCA would do an excellent job in <br /> running the Pageant . <br /> Councilman Rhodes moved that the Peninsula Celebration Association be designated <br /> to make the selection of Miss Redwood City, seconded by Councilman Henderson, <br /> and carried . (MINUTE ORDER #71-- 19) <br /> Councilman Henderson requested the following two communications be added <br /> for the record : <br /> Memo , December 31 , 1970 , City Librarian , regarding restoration of <br /> two library positions eliminated from the 1970-71 budget . <br /> Recommendation : Refer to Staff for consideration at Budget Sessions . <br /> Memo , January 19, 1971 , City Librarian, regarding Library School <br /> Teaching Assignment , (For Council information only . ) <br /> Councilman Weymouth moved that Communications and staff recommendations be <br /> accepted , seconded by Councilman Petersen , and carried . (MINUTE ORDER #71 -20) <br /> Councilman Petersen advised that about two months ago he attended a meeting of <br /> the California Association of Publicly Owned Transit Systems ( CAPOTS ) and <br /> would subsequently make a report to Council . He requested authorization to <br /> represent the City, at his own expense , at a forthcoming meeting of CAPOTS <br /> in San Francisco , after which he would report to Council . The organization <br /> basically concerns itself with legislation , primarily State , concerning <br /> transportation for municipalities . <br /> Councilman Weymouth moved to authorize Councilman Petersen to attend the meeting <br /> of CAPOTS on behalf of the City and that he be reimbursed for any expenses <br /> incurred , seconded by Councilman Henderson , and carried . (MINUTE ORDER #71--21 ) <br />
