47 Minutes of Regular Meeting Redwood City Council March 1 , 1971 7 : 30 P . M . Pledge of Allegiance led by Councilman Keckley , Invocation led by Reverend Ralph Daniel , First Baptist Church . ON ROLL CALL , the following were noted present : Councilman Mary VI . Henderson , Paul C . Keckley , Herbert G . Petersen , William C . Rhodes , Ray A . Weymouth , James S . Williams , Mayor Robert H . Bury , and City Clerk Marian McCrindle . Also noted present were City Manager Howard C . Ulirich , City Attorney David E. Schricker , Planning Director Ken Schroeter , Police Chief John R . McDonald , Jr . , Fire Chief John Keller , City Auditor-Accountant Jack Ference , City Treasurer- Collector Harriet Drivon , Superintendent of Buildings and Maintenance Melvin I . Moen , Deputy Director of Public Works William T . Martin , Chief Building Official Charles Gyselbrecht , and Deputy City Clerk Frances I . Reggetts . Councilman Henderson moved to approve , as mailed , Minutes of Regular Meeting of February 22 , 1971 , and Minutes of Executive Session of February 22 , 1971 , seconded by Councilman Rhodes , and carried on roll call vote , Councilman Keckley and Petersen abstaining on the basis of absence from those meetings . Councilman Henderson moved to approve Minutes of Special Meeting of February 25 , 1971 , seconded by Councilman Rhodes and carried on roll call vote , Councilmen Weymouth and Williams abstaining , not being present at the meeting . Government Affairs Program students noted present on roll call were as follows : Leroy Deal , Jim McDonald , Greg Patrick and Raphael Rodriguez . Noted absent were Tony Casassa , Ron Haverland and Tom McFatridge . COMMUNITY PROGRESS REPORT , Redwood Shores . City Manager indicated that Mr . James Reiter , of DMJM, would report on District activities , and Mr . Charles Wynn was also present , representing Leslie Properties . Mr . Reiter reported that weatherwise , the month was good . Marlin Subdivision #1 was complete , and hook-up at the pump station was to start the next day . Marlin Subdivision #2 was complete , except for connection to Peninsula Parkway . He also noted a small change order to make adjustments to the water line attached to the Bridge and that this work expected to be complete before the next monthly report . Work also noted on the levees . Budget review proceeding with City Auditor . Report on sewage pump station is under way and almost complete .
