He indicated there was enough material to require <br /> several hours and therefore could not be covered in a regular meeting . <br /> Councilman Henderson felt Council should have the material for study well <br /> in advance to allow time for review . City Manager advised that the <br /> drawings were of a size that would be prohibitive to reproduce . He <br /> indicated Staff was prepared to make the presentation at any time , and <br /> suggested proceeding as with the Woodside Road project , with a meeting <br /> by Council , followed by public information clinics . It was decided that <br /> the meeting will be held on Wednesday , March 24 , 1971 , at 7 : 34 P . M . , <br /> location to be determined . (Memo 3 -2 -71 ) <br /> Councilman Rhodes noted that the date of June 2 on the Budget Calendar <br /> conflicted with a Chamber of Commerce meeting, and it was pointed out <br /> that this was an extra meeting which was scheduled in the event discussions <br /> were incomplete . <br /> Mayor Bury referred to City Manager ' s report concerning red curb at <br /> Buckingham Avenue and El Camino Real , and questioned whether this was <br /> incorporated area . City Manager responded that City has no jurisdiction <br /> over the businesses at the location , but does have with respect to <br /> sidewalks , curbs and gutters under a maintenance agreement with the <br /> State . The parking restriction has been requested by the State Highway <br /> Patrol, Mayor Bury also noted that the Sheriff ' s office expressed concern <br /> about parking spaces at the County building and that they want 3 or 4 <br /> meters removed . City Manager advised that there have been conversations <br /> and attempt is being made to work out some monetary arrangement with <br /> County , since these meters are within City ' s Parking District . <br /> Council inquired about CATV financial report requested previously , and <br /> was advised this is forthcoming . City Manager also indicated he would <br /> investigate the matter of apparent promotion effort through a TV bingo <br /> game . (Memo 3 -2 -71 ) <br /> City Manager reported that two Department Heads had been honored , with <br /> Alfred "Red " Morton , Recreation Director , having received Merit Award <br /> at the last conference of Park and Recreation Association , and last <br /> Friday , the California Landscape Contractors ' Association honored <br /> Redwood City with First Place in Municipal Improvement category . <br /> Superintendent of Parks , Pasco Balzarini , will attend the 1971 Daisy <br /> Awards banquet on March 20 to accept the award for the City . <br />
