485 <br /> in the final stages because of deliveries on pump parts . <br /> Parts have now been received and project is expected to <br /> be fully completed this month . The Bridge Connection project <br /> is moving along satisfactorily . The final pavement has been <br /> laid , and all that remains is some minor work in terms of <br /> landscaping and reestablishing landscaping that was disrupted <br /> in construction . Weather permitting , this also will be <br /> finished this month . The winter maintenance program on which <br /> Council called for bids at the last meeting will be back to <br /> Council for consideration of bids on January 25th . Water <br /> tank plans and specifications are coming along and hopefully <br /> will be brought to Council next week for call for bids . <br /> The sewerage system reliability study which was discussed <br /> last month has been put into motion and a report to Staff <br /> is expected to be ready the end of this month . With respect <br /> to budget and financial control , a preliminary run of <br /> financing has been completed and is scheduled for discussion <br /> with Staff this Thursday . The levee study which is a <br /> continuing analysis and preliminary design for future levee <br /> improvements is under way . Drilling and sampling have <br /> commenced . <br /> Mayor Bury asked Mr . Reiter to comment more on the sewerage system reliability <br /> study . Mr , Reiter stated that after receiving authorization to proceed , the <br /> work has been started and hopefully a report with recommendations would be <br /> brought back to Council before the end of the month . City Manager stated <br /> this was in response to Council ' s request that the matter be looked into <br /> and a report brought back as to the number of occurrences in the past , the <br /> probable causes , and the solution . <br /> Councilman Henderson asked if there has been any change in the lagoon condition . <br /> Mr . Reiter stated this would be the net effect , as backup systems are being <br /> studied to prevent occurrences such as have happened in the past . Manager reported <br /> that County Health Department has not lifted the ban , but City has continued to <br /> chlorinate through the storm drain system . Councilman Henderson suggested this <br /> as the highest priority in the reliability study . Mr . Reiter stated there have <br /> been no new occurrences and with the continued chlorination and cool weather <br /> there should be no problem . <br /> Mayor Bury asked Manager to check further into this matter and report back to <br /> Council . (Memo 1- 12 -71 ) <br /> Councilman Keckley asked Manager about a previous report that pumping into the <br /> deep fall outlet from the Redwood Shores area would commence before the oxidation <br /> ponds and the outfall lines from the oxidation ponds are fully used . Manager <br /> responded that on recommendation of Jenks & Adamson and DMJM , design provided <br /> for a small pump system out of the chlorination tanks at the oxidation ponds <br /> and into the SCSP outfall . They are striving to come to this condition about <br /> the same time the SCSP is completed in the early part of April this year . <br /> According to Jenks & Adamson and DMJM , treatment that is afforded by these <br />
