William Royer , 1016 Blandford , agreed with <br /> concept of the ordinance , but felt requirement <br /> for a Use Permit was just a " stumbling block " , <br /> If not satisfactory , he felt the ordinance <br /> can always be amended . He referred to his <br /> proposed development , wherein the leases to <br /> be entered into were for ten years , and would <br /> limit the number of cars permitted . <br /> Councilman Williams supported the requirement for a Use Permit , feeling <br /> that it gave the City protection in the event use changed , providing the <br /> capability of the City to "break the lease " , and giving proper control <br /> and safeguards for future use . <br /> There being no communications or further discussion , Councilman Henderson <br /> moved to close the public hearing , seconded by Councilman Petersen and <br /> carried . <br /> Councilman Petersen moved to introduce Ordinance adding Sections 2 . 53 and <br /> 32 , 12 to Ordinance No . 1130 , the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Redwood <br /> City , relating to Parking Requirements for "Housing for the Elderly " , <br /> seconded by Councilman Rhodes and carried on roll call vote . <br /> PUBLIC HEARING , on Resolution of Intention of the Planning Commission to <br /> add Section 2 . 56 , and to amend Section 2 . 58 , Ordinance No . 1130 , the <br /> Zoning Ordinance , relating to the frontage of corner lots , declared open <br /> and affidavit of publication ordered filed . Planning Commission on <br /> February 9 , 1971 unanimously recommended proposed amendments following <br /> a public hearing . There being no communications or oral discussion , <br /> public hearing was closed on motion of Councilman Petersen , seconded by <br /> Councilman Weymouth and carried . <br /> Councilman Rhodes moved to introduce Ordinance adding Section 2 . 56 to , <br /> and amending Section 2 . 58 of , Ordinance No , 1130 , the Zoning Ordinance <br /> of the City of Redwood City , relating to the frontage of corner lots , <br /> seconded by Councilman Keckley and carried , <br /> Report and recommendation of Council Committee regarding recruitment of <br /> City Manager , <br /> Mayor Bury briefly reviewed the meetings held by the ad hoc committee <br /> of Council , composed of Councilman Henderson , Councilman Weymouth and <br /> himself , to consider the various techniques for recruitment procedure <br /> for this position . A number of ways in which potential applicants could <br /> be brought to attention of Council were considered , and it was recom-- <br /> mended that City acquire the services of an experienced recruitment firm . <br />
