Henderson referred to the concern of Fire Chief relative to the traffic <br /> situation . Planning Director indicated San Jose had faced similar potential <br /> problems , and to overcome this , had staggered the starting times in the <br /> various theaters which had helped the traffic problems . <br /> In the discussion, it was felt that traffic conditions are difficult now , <br /> even without two additional theaters , It was noted a variety of plans <br /> include widening of Frontage Road , and ultimately the extension of Main <br /> Street and extension of Dolphin Parkway . Councilman Petersen commented <br /> on his business connection with a property adjacent , and City Attorney <br /> recommended that he abstain to the extent that rezoning might have a bearing <br /> on the property in which he was interested . Planning Director was questioned <br /> as to whether any plan lines had been established on the road , and he informed <br /> Council that there have not , although the State had completed plans for <br /> widening the Freeway at this point . It was noted that a Use Permit is <br /> required , although none has been applied for as yet . <br /> Councilman Williams suggested a study of the area with reference to the <br /> traffic flow , and Mayor Bury indicated that if such a study is recommended , <br /> the matter would logically be referred to the Traffic Committee , <br /> There being no further discussion or written communication, Councilman Keckley <br /> moved to close the public hearing, seconded by Councilman Henderson and <br /> carried , <br /> Councilman Henderson moved to introduce Ordinance adding Section 60 , 22 , 2 to <br /> Ordinance No . 1130 , the Redwood City Zoning Ordinance , rezoning property <br /> in the vicinity of East Bayshore Frontage Road , seconded by Councilman <br /> Keckley and carried , Councilman Petersen abstaining , <br /> ACCEPTANCE OF IMPROVEMENTS : <br /> ( 1 ) Observation Deck , Municipal Marina ( Cost of project , $25 , 000 ) . <br /> ( 2 ) Woodside Road Street Lighting Project ( Cost of project , $31 , 028 , 67 ) , <br /> Projects were completed to the satisfaction of City Staff and were recommended <br /> for acceptance , subject to the usual guarantees of materials and workmanship . <br /> Councilman Weymouth moved to accept the two projects , subject to the usual <br /> guarantee of workmanship and materials , seconded by Councilman Rhodes . <br /> Mayor Bury noted that the driveway light standards were not operating the <br /> previous night in the area of Charley Brown restaurant , and City Manager <br /> reported this was caused by a short , but the contractor was still bound <br /> under acceptance provisions of the one -year guarantee . Motion carried , <br /> (MINUTE ORDERS #71 -47-A and #71-47-B ) <br />
