71 <br />Councilman Keckley moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO, 6186 APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br />OF AGREEMENT WITH WANK, WILLIAMS & NEYLAN, INC., FOR PREPARATION OF ANNUAL REPORT <br />FOR FISCAL YEAR 1968-1969, seconded by Councilman Arnett, <br />It was determined that the agreement is similar to that of last year with costs <br />to be the same, and which includes mailing. <br />Motion carried on roll call vote, Mayor Bury being noted absent. <br />— Councilman Henderson moved to adopt RESOLUTION N0, 6187 ESTABLISHING AND DECLARING <br />DESIGNATED ENTRANCES TO DESIGNATED INTERSECTIONS TO BE STOP ENTRANCES AND DIRECT- <br />ING REMOVAL OF YIELD RIGHT-OF-WAY SIGN, seconded by Councilman Keckley <br />This resolution fulfills the intent of the Public Works Department's improvement <br />of the intersection and widening of Alameda de las Pulgas. The stop signs control <br />the left -turn movement from southbound Fernside traffic turning left onto the <br />Alameda, and the control of the left -turn movement from the left -turn lane of <br />northbound traffic on Alameda de las Pulgas. It also removes the existing "Yield" <br />sign controlling southbound traffic on Alameda entering the intersection. The <br />Town of Woodside has authorized installation of the Yield sign controlling Fernside <br />traffic entering Alameda de las Pulgas to continue southbound. <br />Motion carried on roll call vote, Mayor Bury being noted absent. <br />Councilman Rosselli moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO, 6188 APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS FOR ONE <br />ONE -TON TRUCK CAB AND CHASSIS AND TWO TWO -TON DUMP TRUCKS; FIVE AUTOMOBILES; ONE <br />AUTOMOBILE; ONE TRUCK (VAN TYPE); ONE VIBRATING ROLLER; AND ONE HYDRAULIC SEWER <br />CLEANER; AND AUTHORIZING CITY CLERK TO CALL FOR BIDS THEREFOR, seconded by Councilman <br />Weymouth. Council questioned whether the Police cars would be going to power <br />equipment and this was affirmed. Motion carried on roll call vote, Mayor Bury <br />/ being noted absent. <br />DAMAGE CLAIMS: (1) Richard Drivon, Jr., on behalf of Emilie H. Drivon, 1867 Anamor <br />Street, for property damages allegedly caused to sewer from roots of City street <br />tree; (2) California State Automobile Association, on behalf of insured, <br />Gysbert J. DeWild, 1491 Hess Road, #207, Redwood City, for property damages <br />alleged to have been caused by City -owned and operated vehicle; (3) Philip B. <br />Grotewohl, 3060 Broadway, Redwood City, for property damages - "tar thrown on <br />sides and hood of car" from street resurfacing material, denied and referred to <br />insurance carrier on motion of Councilman Weymouth, seconded by Councilman <br />Rosselli and carried. (MINUTE ORDER # 70-5-A; 70-5-B; 70-5-C) <br />ACCOUNTS PAYABLE Nos. 75635 through 75903, inclusive, totaling $801,487.75, approved <br />on motion of Councilman Arnett, seconded by Councilman Weymouth. <br />COMMUNICATIONS: <br />Donald H. Kauffman, 555 Hillcrest Way, copy of his letter <br />written to Public Utilities Commission protesting lack of <br />access to water for fire fighting purposes, <br />Memo to Council from City Auditor -Accountant relaying request <br />telephoned from Sacramento by Mayor Bury advising amount of his <br />expense claim relating to attendance at National League of Cities <br />Conference in San Diego November 29th through December 4th, and <br />stating formal claim would be filed on his return. <br />Councilman Henderson moved to accept Auditor's report concerning Mayor's expense claim <br />seconded by Councilman Arnett, and carried. (MINUTE ORDER # 70-6) <br />
