181 <br />Councilman Keckley moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO, 6283 APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE <br />FURNISHING OF CAST IRON AND DUCTILE IRON PIPE FOR THE PERIOD JULY 15 1970, THROUGH <br />JUNE 30, 1971; AND AUTHORIZING CALL FOR BIDS THEREFOR, seconded by Councilman <br />Weymouth. It was indicated the cost was estimated to be $31,400 for the 1970-71 <br />year. Motion carried on roll call vote. <br />Consideration of Resolution revising annual fee for hoist privileges at Municipal <br />Marina was continued for two weeks to May 11 on motion of Councilman Arnett, <br />seconded by Councilman Petersen. Councilman Arnett advised that he had been in <br />contact with Commodore McElroy, Sequoia Yacht Club, whose group would be affected, <br />and who indicated a desire to be heard and had requested additional time in order <br />to permit the officers to respond. Council requested that the Marina Committee <br />report made in January be resubmitted to Council for review. (Memo 4/28/70) <br />Motion carried. (MINUTE ORDER #70-75) <br />ACCOUNTS PAYABLE Nos. 77841 to 78016, inclusive, totaling $2,121,348.30, approved for <br />payment on motion of Councilman Keckley, seconded by Councilman Henderson, and <br />carried. <br />COMMUNICATIONS: <br />Association of Bay Area Governments requesting information <br />for updating their records of City Councilmen and General <br />Assembly representatives and Alternates. <br />City of San Mateo Resolution No. 34 urging early construction <br />of State College facility in Redwood City. (Copies submitted <br />to Council) <br />City of San Leandro resolution supporting action by appro- <br />priate authorities to abate pollution of the environment by <br />jet aircraft. (Copies submitted to Council) <br />San Francisco Bay Area Water Users Association, Belmont, <br />California, re adoption by Supervisors of San Francisco of <br />increased water rates for all users. (Copies submitted to <br />Council) <br />Redwood City Citizens for Low -Income Housing, advising of a <br />County -wide meeting on April 30 at Probe Community Center. <br />(Copies submitted to Council) <br />Redwood City Tribune concerning the 1970 Fiesta Edition. <br />(Copies submitted to Council) <br />Mateo -Clara Garbagemen's Association, registering concern re <br />proposal for incineration of refuse. <br />Redwood City -San Carlos -Belmont Board of Realtors, re support <br />of permanent removal of moratorium on building and sewer <br />Connections. <br />Mayor Bury reported communication received from Palo Alto regarding open space, <br />regional -type park, which he intended to circulate to Council. City Manager was <br />requested to handle. <br />
