(Copies submitted to Council.) <br />California Regional Water Quality Control Board, <br />San Francisco Bay Region, agenda for special board <br />meeting May 7 (subsequently changed by telephone <br />communication to May 11). (Copies submitted to Council <br />of notice and Mayor Bury's response.) <br />Notice of application before PUC by Airportransit of <br />California, dba Airporter, for authority to transport <br />passengers, baggage and express between San Jose Municipal <br />Airport and San Francisco International Airport and <br />intermediate points. (Copies submitted to Council.) <br />ABAG, requesting information on changes in Council <br />representative and alternate. (Mayor's list of <br />recommended Council Committee appointments renamed <br />Councilman Henderson as Representative and Vice -Mayor <br />Keckley as Alternate.) <br />K. R. Boyd, Study Course Director, American Water Works <br />Association, 1990 Newcomb Avenue, San Francisco, addressed <br />to Mayor Bury, expressing gratitude and appreciation to <br />City for participation as speaker by Warren J. Mitchell, <br />Water Superintendent, in program on April 13 of AWWA Spring <br />Study Course. (Read in full by City Clerk at request of <br />Mayor Bury.) <br />Mrs, H. E. Smith, 1970 General Show Chairman, Redwood City <br />Annual Spring Flower and Art Show, addressed to Mayor Bury, <br />requesting May 11 through May 17 be designated Flower Show <br />Week in Redwood City. (Mayor Bury requested copies be <br />provided to Council.) <br />Mayor Bury commented on some suggested changes in connection with the student <br />Government Affairs Program, and Councilman Rhodes indicated intention to hold a <br />meeting with the students in the hope of having them participate more actively. <br />Mayor Bury had previously submitted his recommended list of Council Committee <br />appointees for consideration by Council, and Councilman Weymouth moved to endorse <br />the Mayor's recommendations, seconded by Councilman Petersen and carried. <br />Councilman Henderson advised that she had been requested by ABAG to represent them <br />by test°fying before State Commission on Environmental Quality, Mayor Bury expressed <br />appreciation for her representation of Council and the quality of that representation. <br />Councilman Petersen noted that as a result of former Councilman Rosselli's decision <br />not to run for re-election, there was a. vacancy on the League of California Cities <br />Transportation Committee, and that he had received an invitation to accept appointment <br />from <br />the <br />President <br />of <br />the State <br />League. A <br />meeting will <br />be held <br />in Sacramento this <br />month <br />and <br />approval <br />to <br />attend was <br />requested. <br />Councilman <br />Keckley <br />moved to approve <br />attendance and travel expenses for Councilman Petersen in connection with meeting <br />in May of the Transportation Committee of the League of California Cities, at <br />Sacramento, seconded by Councilman Arnett and carried. (MINUTE ORDER #70-79) <br />Mayor Bury advised of a request from Staff for waiver of requirement that budget must <br />be submitted by May 1st, and allow delay of submittal of the budget until May 25, <br />Councilman Petersen moved to approve the request, seconded by Councilman Keckley. <br />
