206 <br />REPORT OF BID OPENINGS: <br />Gasoline <br />Standard Oil of California <br />Atlantic Richfield Co. <br />Texaco, Inc. <br />Premium Non -Premium <br />.204 .236 <br />.2115 .253 <br />.2130 .1940 <br />Staff recommended award to Atlantic Richfield Co., as the company <br />was the only bidder to not take exceptions. <br />Unit price of non -premium fuel was bid at higher cost than <br />premium because of smaller quantity of non -premium anticipated <br />to be used. <br />Councilman Arnett moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 6294 AWARDING CONTRACT FOR <br />FURNISHING GASOLINE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE PERIOD JULY 13 1970 THROUGH <br />JUNE 30, 1971; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT THEREFOR; AND REJECTING <br />ALL OTHER BIDS RECEIVED, seconded by Councilman Keckley and carried on roll <br />call vote, Councilman Henderson being noted absent. <br />Chlorine Per Ton <br />Jones Chemical, Inc. $103.23 <br />Continental Chemical Co. 120.16 <br />Staff recommended award of contract to Jones Chemical., the <br />low bidder. <br />Councilman Keckley moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 6295 AWARDING CONTRACT FOR <br />FURNISHING OF LIQUID CHLORINE FOR THE REDWOOD CITY SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT, <br />seconded by Councilman Rhodes and carried on roll call vote, Councilman <br />Henderson being noted absent. <br />Cast Iron & Ductile Iron Pipe <br />U.S. Pipe & Foundry <br />Co. <br />$36,025.50 <br />Pacific States Cast <br />Iron Pipe Co. <br />37,511.25 <br />Staff recommended award to U.S. Pipe & Foundry Co., the <br />low bidder. <br />Councilman Weymouth moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 6296 AWARDING CONTRACT FOR <br />FURNISHING OF CAST IRON AND DUCTILE IRON WATER PIPE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE CITY <br />OF REDWOOD CITY FOR THE PERIOD JULY 1, 1970, THROUGH JUNE 30, 1971, seconded <br />by Councilman Keckley and carried on roll call vote, Councilman Henderson being <br />noted absent. <br />Report of Ordinance Review Committee (Vice -Mayor Paul C. Keckley, Chairman.) <br />Councilman Keckley briefly commented on the Committee's report of May 15, 1970 <br />and minutes of the Committee's meeting of May 14, copies of which had been <br />provided to Council, and which offered recommendations in several matters <br />relating to signs. <br />The Committee was asking guidance of Council on certain aspects. Primarily <br />they were concerned with the Sign Ordinance and cleaning up of City signs. <br />
