240 <br />Councilman Keckley moved to introduce Ordinance amending Section 3.122 of the <br />Code of the City of Redwood City relating to maximum area of signs in non - <br />residentially zoned districts, seconded by Councilman Weymouth. Council <br />questioned the location of the proposed sign and Chief Building Official <br />made the identification on a Block Map. Motion carried on roll call vote, <br />Councilmen Keckley, Petersen, Rhodes, Weymouth and Mayor Bury voting yes; <br />and Councilmen Arnett and Henderson voting no. <br />Councilman Weymouth moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 6314 APPROVING AND <br />AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT WITH STATE OF CALIFORNIA FOR RELOCATION <br />OF UTILITIES UNDERCROSSING IN THE VICINITY OF THE MAPLE STREET CROSSING <br />WITH ROUTE 101, seconded by Councilman Arnett. In order for the State to <br />widen the Redwood City utilities undercrossing on Bayshore Freeway as <br />part of the Bayshore Freeway Widening project, it is necessary to temporarily <br />remove the fire alarm cable from the wall of the undercrossing and replace <br />the cable after the undercrossing has been widened. The work is to be done <br />by the City Fire Department at an estimated cost of $250. The agreement <br />provides for reimbursement of that cost to the City by the State. It was <br />established there would be no loss in fire protection as a result of this <br />work. Motion carried on roll call vote. <br />DAMAGE CLAIMS: (1) Donald Wallace, 216 Oakview Drive, San Carlos, for personal <br />injuries alleged to have been caused by defective and dangerous design of <br />intersection at Whipple and Industrial Road; (2) Joan Ray Wallace, 216 <br />Oakview Drive, San Carlos, for personal injuries alleged to have been <br />caused by defective and dangerous design of intersection at Whipple and <br />Industrial Road, denied and referred to insurance carrier on motion of <br />Councilman Petersen, seconded by Councilman Rhodes and carried. (MINUTE <br />ORDERS #70-102A and #70-102B) <br />ACCOUNTS PAYABLE Nos.78576 to 78736, inclusive, totaling $246,o6o.65, approved <br />for payment on motion of Councilman Keckley, seconded by Councilman Arnett <br />and carried. <br />COMMUNICATIONS: <br />Mrs. Walter T. (Eve Currie) Kellogg, 350 Sharon Park <br />Drive, Menlo Park, advising of resignation from Library <br />Board of Trustees due to change in residence. (Copies <br />submitted to Council.) <br />
