Councilman Keckley moved to approve Minutes as mailed, subject to any corrections, <br />of the Adjourned Regular Meeting of January 8, 1970; Regular Meeting of January 12, <br />1970; and Executive Session of January 12, 1970, seconded by Councilman Arnett, <br />Councilman Henderson noted an omission of the Minutes of January 8 Adjourned Regular <br />Meeting, in her motion "to request a report from the Veterans Commission as to their <br />views, to be referred to the Ordinance Review Committee for review and report to <br />the Commission", and requested that the words "and Council" be added. Motion carried. <br />Councilman Arnett moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO, 6195 CONGRATULATING POLICE RESERVE <br />OFFICERS ON THE OCCASION OF THEIR RETIREMENT FROM THE RESERVE POLICE CORPS, seconded <br />by Councilman Rosselli and carried on roll call vote. <br />Mayor Bury offered congratulations and appreciation of the community, then joined <br />with Police Chief McDonald in presenting each of the retiring Reserve Police Officers <br />as listed below, with the Resolution and a plaque on which their individual police <br />badges had been mounted. <br />Stanley Edwin Marcus <br />Arthur Grand Hamilton <br />Nicholas Frank Ruggiero <br />Edward Harold Shields <br />Henry Marshall Manning <br />Joseph Pearl Ferrel <br />It was noted that retiring Reserve Officers Allan Walter Brown and Charles Thomas <br />Zimmerman had been unable to be in attendance for this presentation. Mayor Bury <br />suggested that the Police Chief could bring those two officers to another Council <br />meeting to receive their presentations. (Memo 1/20/70) <br />Continued PUBLIC HEARING, Resolution of Intention of the Planning Commission to amend <br />the Zoning Map to rezone property known as Edgewood Road Annexation No. 2, an area <br />of 3.43 acres, from "IS" (Interim Study) District to "RH" (Residential Hillside) <br />District, declared open. The public hearing had been continued in order to complete <br />mailing of notices, and at request of Council, the Clerk advised that remailing to <br />the owners, as well as those previously notified, had been accomplished. There being <br />no communications or oral protests, Councilman Petersen moved to close the public <br />hearing, seconded by Councilman Keck ley and carried. <br />Councilman Rosselli moved to introduce ordinance adding Section 60.13.3 to Ordinance <br />No, 1130, the Redwood City Zoning Ordinance, rezoning property in the vicinity of <br />Edgewood Road and Upland Road, seconded by Councilman Keckley and carried. <br />Request of Kliklok Corporation, 1090 Mills Way, for street name change. (Referred to <br />Planning Commission by Council at meeting of December 8, 1969.) <br />Planning Commission considered the request at their meeting of December 16, 1969, <br />and recommended that the street name change be approved, and Staff concurs in this <br />recommendation. <br />Councilman Petersen moved to adopt RESOLUTION N0. 6196 DESIGNATING MILLS WAY AS <br />KLIKLOK WAY, seconded by Councilman Weymouth. Councilman Keckley expressed concern <br />that this should not be permitted to set a precedent in similar situations. Motion <br />carried on roll call vote. <br />Councilman Weymouth moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO, 6197 WITHDRAWING ANNEXED TERRITORY <br />KNOWN AS "LAKEVIEW WAY ANNEXATION NO, 2" FROM EMERALD LAKE LIGHTING DISTRICT AND <br />WOODSIDE FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT, seconded by Councilman Arnett. <br />The action was requested by LAFC as a condition for their approval of application to <br />annex <br />this <br />territory. <br />Annexation was <br />filed by the Secretary <br />of State December 31, <br />1969, <br />and <br />is therefore <br />now complete. <br />Motion carried on roll <br />call vote. <br />
