Councilman Keckley moved to approve Minutes as mailed, subject to any corrections, of the Adjourned Regular Meeting of January 8, 1970; Regular Meeting of January 12, 1970; and Executive Session of January 12, 1970, seconded by Councilman Arnett, Councilman Henderson noted an omission of the Minutes of January 8 Adjourned Regular Meeting, in her motion "to request a report from the Veterans Commission as to their views, to be referred to the Ordinance Review Committee for review and report to the Commission", and requested that the words "and Council" be added. Motion carried. Councilman Arnett moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO, 6195 CONGRATULATING POLICE RESERVE OFFICERS ON THE OCCASION OF THEIR RETIREMENT FROM THE RESERVE POLICE CORPS, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried on roll call vote. Mayor Bury offered congratulations and appreciation of the community, then joined with Police Chief McDonald in presenting each of the retiring Reserve Police Officers as listed below, with the Resolution and a plaque on which their individual police badges had been mounted. Stanley Edwin Marcus Arthur Grand Hamilton Nicholas Frank Ruggiero Edward Harold Shields Henry Marshall Manning Joseph Pearl Ferrel It was noted that retiring Reserve Officers Allan Walter Brown and Charles Thomas Zimmerman had been unable to be in attendance for this presentation. Mayor Bury suggested that the Police Chief could bring those two officers to another Council meeting to receive their presentations. (Memo 1/20/70) Continued PUBLIC HEARING, Resolution of Intention of the Planning Commission to amend the Zoning Map to rezone property known as Edgewood Road Annexation No. 2, an area of 3.43 acres, from "IS" (Interim Study) District to "RH" (Residential Hillside) District, declared open. The public hearing had been continued in order to complete mailing of notices, and at request of Council, the Clerk advised that remailing to the owners, as well as those previously notified, had been accomplished. There being no communications or oral protests, Councilman Petersen moved to close the public hearing, seconded by Councilman Keck ley and carried. Councilman Rosselli moved to introduce ordinance adding Section 60.13.3 to Ordinance No, 1130, the Redwood City Zoning Ordinance, rezoning property in the vicinity of Edgewood Road and Upland Road, seconded by Councilman Keckley and carried. Request of Kliklok Corporation, 1090 Mills Way, for street name change. (Referred to Planning Commission by Council at meeting of December 8, 1969.) Planning Commission considered the request at their meeting of December 16, 1969, and recommended that the street name change be approved, and Staff concurs in this recommendation. Councilman Petersen moved to adopt RESOLUTION N0. 6196 DESIGNATING MILLS WAY AS KLIKLOK WAY, seconded by Councilman Weymouth. Councilman Keckley expressed concern that this should not be permitted to set a precedent in similar situations. Motion carried on roll call vote. Councilman Weymouth moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO, 6197 WITHDRAWING ANNEXED TERRITORY KNOWN AS "LAKEVIEW WAY ANNEXATION NO, 2" FROM EMERALD LAKE LIGHTING DISTRICT AND WOODSIDE FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT, seconded by Councilman Arnett. The action was requested by LAFC as a condition for their approval of application to annex this territory. Annexation was filed by the Secretary of State December 31, 1969, and is therefore now complete. Motion carried on roll call vote.
