<br />ACCEPTANCE of Landscape Improvements , Ralston Parkway - Section 1,GID 1-640
<br />Project had been completed to the satisfaction of DMJM and Park Superintendent
<br />and Staff recommended acceptance, subject to the usual guarantees,
<br />Councilman Weymouth moved to accept the project, subject to one-year guarantee
<br />of workmanship and materials, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried,

<br />Notice to electors of member jurisdictions of election
<br />of President and Vice President of Association of Bay Area
<br />Governments, (voted ballots must be filed by Clerk with
<br />the Executive Director of the Association no later than
<br />February 4, 1970, at 12:00 noon)
<br />Councilman Henderson advised that under the new procedure, every member of Council
<br />has a vote, and recommended that Council place the matter on Agenda of January
<br />26th for the purpose of casting ballots in presence of the Clerk, as required,
<br />Ballots would then be transmitted to ABAG,
<br />William J. Walti, Principal, San Carlos High School,
<br />regarding creation of a Community Advisory Council
<br />and urging Council to help in obtaining candidates.

<br />! Councilman Henderson referred to her communication to Council dated January
<br />15, 1970, on subject of "Protest Regarding December 23, 1969 Meeting of Council's
<br />Community Facility Committee", and requested it be noted as part of the record.
<br />Mayor Bury so ordered,
<br />Councilman Keckley reported that Recreation Director was said to have been
<br />honored at a dinner, and inquired what the honor had been, feeling Council should
<br />make some expression. Mayor Bury stated he had been invited to submit a letter
<br />on behalf of Council, expressing their sentiments regarding the Recreation
<br />Director, He noted Mr. Morton had been honored the previous night in Santa
<br />Clara County, and that the award is expected to be brought to the Council chambers,
<br />and it was hoped to have Mr. Morton present at the same time,
<br />Councilman Rosselli commented regarding Ray Lunny III, of Redwood City, winner
<br />of Pacific Coast AAU featherweight championship, representing Redwood City
<br />Police Youth Club, and felt recognition by City should be given, Mayor Bury
<br />hoped to have matter for Council action. (Memo 1/20/70)
<br />Mr. William Oeser appeared with regard to his
<br />previous presentation of petitions supporting
<br />the Police Department.
<br />Mr. Q. M. Cohenour, 1276 Westwood, advised he has
<br />28 additional names on the same matter, and that he
<br />expected several hundred more,
