307 <br />Councilman Petersen moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 6337 APPROVING AND ACCEPTING <br />FINAL MAP OF PERRY MANOR SUBDIVISION, REDWOOD CITY, CALIFORNIA, SUBJECT TO <br />CERTAIN CONDITIONS; APPROVING AND ADOPTING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR <br />IMPROVEMENT THEREOF; AND APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT <br />FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF IMPROVEMENTS FOR SAID SUBDIVISION, seconded by <br />Councilman Arnett. <br />Planning Commission had considered the application of H. H. MacDonald Co. for <br />a Final Map of the Perry Manor Subdivision and recommended Council approval. <br />Plans and specifications for full_ street improvements had been approved by the <br />Director of Public Works, who noted for clarification that these are full <br />street improvements on a half street <br />Councilman Keckley being noted absent. <br />Motion carried on roll call vote, <br />Councilman Arnett moved to introduce Ordinance amending Section 29.75 of the Code <br />of the City of Redwood City, relating to the inspection to determine whether <br />certain trees, shrubs, vines, or any other type of plant material constitute <br />a nuisance, the abatement procedure, and the duty of the property owner to <br />prevent such nuisance, seconded by Councilman Weymouth. <br />The ordinance would expand authority of the Park Superintendent in addition <br />to trees, to include shrubs and other growth overhanging public right-of-way. <br />Motion carried. <br />Councilman Weymouth moved to ratify the appointment of Dr. Bruce A. Bolt as a <br />member of the Seismic Advisory Board, seconded by Councilman Henderson and <br />carried. (MINUTE ORDER #70-127) <br />DAMAGE CLAIMS: (1) Doratheo Stallings, 522 Vera Avenue, for personal injuries <br />alleged to have been caused by fall on faulty City -owned sidewalk; (2) Mr. <br />and Mrs. Charles M. Schwab, Jr., 217 Madison Avenue, #3, for property damages <br />allegedly caused by Scavenger Company's personnel in picking up refuse, denied <br />and referred to insurance carrier on motion of Councilman Petersen, seconded <br />by Councilman Rhodes and carried. (MINUTE ORDERS #70-128-A and #70-128-B) <br />ACCOUNTS PAYABLE Nos. 78968 to 79305, inclusive, totaling $362,258.58, approved <br />for payment on motion of Councilman Weymouth, seconded by Councilman Henderson <br />and carried. <br />COMMUNICATIONS: <br />Ray Castellano, 3362 Dover Road, Redwood City, suggesting <br />changing the name of the Police Youth Club to the <br />Bill Faulstich Youth Center.
