<br />Mayor Bury noted that one question he would have is that there were three people
<br />concerned in the action, who had indicated a willingness to serve. Councilman
<br />Henderson felt there were opportunities to serve the City in many ways,

<br />PARKING METERS, seconded by Councilman Arnett and carried on roll call vote,
<br />Councilman Arnett moved to adopt ORDINANCE NO, 1462 AMENDING SECTION 29.75 OF THE CODE
<br />OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, RELATING TO THE INSPECTION TO DETERMINE WHETHER CERTAIN
<br />TREES, SHRUBS, VINES, OR ANY OTHER TYPE OF PLANT MATERIAL CONSTITUTE A NUISANCE, THE
<br />ABATEMENT PROCEDURE, AND THE DUTY OF THE PROPERTY OWNER TO PREVENT SUCH NUISANCE,
<br />seconded by Councilman Petersen and carried on roll call vote,
<br />Councilman Weymouth moved to adopt ORDINANCE NO, 1463 APPROPRIATING $8,000 FROM UN-
<br />APPROPRIATED BALANCE OF BUDGETED RESERVE OF GENERAL FUND TO PROVIDE FOR SERVICES
<br />RELATING TO CLASSIFICATION PLAN AND SALARY PLAN FOR CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, seconded
<br />by Councilman Henderson and carried on roll call vote, Councilman Rhodes voting no,
<br />DAMAGE CLAIMS: (1) Alfred R. Noble, 2726 Massachusetts Ave., for property damages
<br />_. alleged to have been caused by City -owned and operated equipment; (2) John Lynch,
<br />561 Jackson Ave., for property damages alleged to have been caused by City -owned
<br />and operated vehicle, denied and referred to insurance carrier on motion of Council-
<br />man Petersen, seconded by Councilman Rhodes and carried. (MINUTE ORDER #70-134A

<br />ACCOUNTS PAYABLE Nos. 79306 to 79471, inclusive, and No. 79473, totaling $492,762.49,
<br />approved for payment on motion of Councilman Weymouth, seconded by Councilman Arnett,
<br />Councilman Henderson questioned whether the payment of $24,000 to Haines & Tatarian
<br />now completed that obligation, and City Manager responded that this completes authori-
<br />zations for work that has been done, and from this point on, additional commitments
<br />would be determined by Council, Motion carried,
<br />COMMUNICATIONS:
<br />Mrs. George Samuels, 86 Renato Court, requesting revision to Code to
<br />permit angle parking in cul de sac in front of apartment buildings
<br />she manages on this street, where parallel parking is now required.
