102 <br />Councilman Henderson noted in the Manager's Information Items the request of Peninsula <br />Cable Television, Inc, for release from the $200,000 bond posted to guarantee <br />completion of the system by a specified date. She reported knowing of several <br />individuals who had not received service requested. She added they are also <br />tardy with their billing. <br />City Manager replied that it was not being considered to release the firm from <br />the bond until full compliance with the franchise is met, adding that he had <br />also received complaints. He advised, however, that the franchise does not _ <br />require the system to be completely hooked up, but must have the means to provide <br />installations to the homes. Until Staff is satisfied, recommendation will not <br />be made to release the firm, and they will continue to look into rights under <br />the bond. <br />Mayor Bury suggested that Mr. Sinkunas should be asked to make an appearance to <br />report to Council. Keckley, Herbert G. Petersen, John S. Rosselli, Ray A. Weymouth, <br />Mayor Robert H. Bury, and City Clerk Marian McCrindle. Also noted present were <br />City Manager Howard C. Ullrich, City Attorney David E. Schricker, Assistant City <br />Attorney (MANAGER) Henry V. Burget, Fire Chief Joseph Lodi, Police Chief John R. <br />McDonald, Jr., Director of Public Works J. Louis Scherer, Planning Director Ken <br />Schroeter, City Treasurer Harriet DrIvon, Chief Building Official Charles <br />Gyselbrecht and Secretary Frances Ozzanto. <br />Councilman Weymouth moved to approve Minutes of the Regular Meeting of February 2, <br />1970, and Minutes of Executive Session of February 2, 1970, as mailed, seconded by <br />Councilman Keckley and carried. <br />Mayor Bury presented retiring Reserve Police Officer Allan Walter Brown with a _ <br />congratulatory resolution, with expressions of thanks and appreciation on behalf <br />of the Council and community. <br />ABAG Budget and Annual Dues. Copies of the ABAG proposed budget had previously been <br />submitted to Council for study, as well as report by Councilman Henderson, Council's <br />representative. In that report, it was stated the ABAG annual Meeting on February <br />19 would adopt the 1970-71 budget and assessment schedule, and the recommendation <br />of Councilman Henderson, as Delegate, and Councilman Keckley, as Alternate, was that <br />Council support the proposed budget and instruct the Delegate to vote for approval. <br />
