105 DAMAGE CLAIM of George Dobson, 510 Upton Street, Redwood City, for property damage alleged to have been caused by hole in City street denied and referred to insurance carrier on motion of Councilman Petersen, seconded by Councilman Keckley and carried. (MINUTE ORDER # 70-30) ACCOUNTS PAYABLE Nos. 76355 through 76573 totaling $457,965.79 were approved, excepting Warrant No. 76541 for $10,173.65, issued to "George Congoon", or a net amount of $446,792.14, on motion of Councilman Keckley and seconded by Councilman Arnett. It was assumed the payee should have read "George Congdon", and Councilman Arnett suggested that Warrant be excluded from the Register for confirmation and held until the following Council meeting for consideration. Motion carried. (MINUTE ORDER # 70-31) COMMUNICATIONS: City Attorney stated he wished to apprise the Council of notice of application of PG&E for authority to increase rates and charges. He stated the form is standard and that ordinarily City does not participate, and that unless we are party to particular knowledge, he recommended no action. Councilman Petersen moved that the City not participate relative to the application of PG&E fm authority to increase rates and charges, seconded by Councilman Henderson and carried. (MINUTE ORDER # 70-32) John H. Fechter, President, Guardsmen Drum & Bugle Corps Booster Club of Police Youth Club of Redwood City, California, Inc., addressed to Mayor Bury, requesting that week of February 8 through 15 be proclaimed as "Police Youth Club Week", and also that the members of the Guardsmen Drum & Bugle Corps, be designated as "Official Roving Ambassadors of Goodwill from the City of Redwood City." Councilman Rosselli moved the group be so designated, and that the requested proclamation be prepared, seconded by Councilman Arnett and carried. Mayor Bury noted the presence of Mr. Fechter in the audience. (MINUTE ORDER # 70-33) San Mateo County Fair & Convention Association, P.O. Box 1027, San Mateo, California, announcing 18th Annual "Fiestaland Dream Girl Pageant" Friday, June 26, 1970, at San Mateo County Fair- grounds, and inviting City to authorize a local organization to select Miss Redwood City to be candidate in the Pageant. City Clerk informed Council that Mr. Harry Walls, President of the Junior Chamber of Commerce, advised that group will be pleased to handle selection of Miss Redwood City as representative in the annual "Fiestaland Dream Girl Pageant." _1 Councilman Petersen moved to accept the offer of the Junior Chamber of Commerce to be authorized to select Miss Redwood City and to carry out the program, seconded by Councilman Henderson and carried. (MINUTE ORDER # 70-34) City of San Mateo, urging support of their Resolution No. 11, urging California Legislature to propose Constitutional Amendments which will _ release Motor Vehicle Fuel Tax Revenues for certain specified purposes.
