106 <br />Councilman Arnett suggested this be referred to the Legislative Committee for <br />review and recommendation. (MEMO 2/10/70) <br />Mayor Bury noted the public meeting to elect an advisory committee for HUD <br />facility grant, to be held Saturday, February 14, 12:30 P.M., at the Hoover <br />School Multi -Purpose Room, and the request of the convening Committee to have <br />City and county representatives present, to observe the election procedure. <br />City of San Mateo, requesting support with <br />reference to their Resolution No. 10, supporting <br />action by appropriate authorities to abate pollution <br />of the environment by jet aircraft. <br />Councilman Petersen recommended this request be referred to the Legislative <br />Committee for review and recommendation. (MEMO 2/10/70) <br />United States Coast Guard Public Notice No. <br />12-16C pertaining to Public Hearing on Proposed <br />Southern Crossing of San Francisco Bay between <br />San Francisco and Alameda, at 9:00 A.M., March <br />4, 1970, in the Federal Building, 450 Golden <br />Gate, San Francisco. <br />Councilman Rosselli reported that Ray Lunny, III, will be with the United <br />States Boxing Team in Russia this week and moved to send a wire on behalf of <br />the City wishing him well, seconded by Councilman Petersen and carried. <br />(MINUTE ORDER # 70-35) <br />Councilman Henderson requested that her memo to Council regarding disclosure <br />legislation be made part of the record. (See City Clerk's file - Legislative <br />Committee) <br />Councilman Arnett noted request of the City Manager for authorization from Council <br />for City Manager and Assistant City Manager to attend the Spring Conference of <br />the City Managers' Department of the League of California Cities, in Newport <br />Beach, February 25-27, 1970, and moved to approve the request, seconded by <br />Councilman Henderson. In brief discussion, City Manager2-eld that this is in <br />keeping with recent expressions of Council that the Assistant City Manager was <br />fully expected to participate in functions from a professional point of view. <br />Motion carried. Also noted present were City Manager Howard C. Ullrich, <br />City Attorney David E. Schricker, Assistant City Manager Henry V. Burget, <br />Police Chief John R. McDonald, Jr., Director of Public Works J. Louis Scherer, <br />Planning Director Ken Schroeter, Park Superintendent Pasco Balzarini, and <br />Secretary Frances Ozzanto. <br />
