<br />ordinance restricting parking of camper vehicles. An unidentified person ap-
<br />peared in the interest of that Ordinance, and Mayor Bury recommended that
<br />Councilman Keckley, as Chairman of the Ordinance Review Committee, would be the
<br />person to contact in order that concern would be properly directed.
<br />Mayor Bury commended Mike Palmer, of the Redwood City Tribune, for an award
<br />on his series of articles on the San Francisco Bay,
<br />Mayor Bury announced that due to the Washington's Birthday holiday, there would
<br />be no Council meeting on February 23rd, and that the next regular meeting would
<br />be March 2, 1970,
<br />Councilman Rosselli moved to adjourn, seconded by Councilman Arnett and carried.

<br />Pledge of Allegiance led by Councilman Keckley.
<br />Invocation led by Reverend Clifton Weihe, Messiah Lutheran Church,
<br />ON ROLL CALL the following were noted present: Councilmen Dixon Arnett, Mary W,
<br />Henderson, Paul C. Keckley, Herbert G. Petersen, John S. Rosselli, Ray A. Weymouth,
<br />Mayor Robert H. Bury, and City Clerk Marian McCrindle. Also noted present were
<br />City Manager Howard C. Ullrich, City Attorney David E. Schricker, Assistant City
<br />Manager Henry V. Burget, Police Chief John R. McDonald, Jr., Fire Chief Joseph
<br />Lodi, Director of Public Works J. Louis Scherer, City Auditor -Accountant Jack
<br />Ference, Chief Building Official Charles Gyselbrecht, Personnel Director Alfred
<br />Wiers and Secretary Frances Ozzanto,
<br />Mayor Bury announced that, because of the large number of persons present in the
<br />interest of one of the matters on the agenda, certain procedures would be followed
<br />to insure that thosewishing to be heard would have the opportunity to do so, and
<br />directed that a card form be distributed at this time among those intending to
<br />speak, and filled in for identification purposes.
<br />Councilman Keckley moved to approve Minutes of the Regular Meeting of February 16,
<br />1970, as mailed, seconded by Councilman Arnett and carried.
<br />Councilman Weymouth moved to adopt RESOLUTION N0. 6228 AND ORDER OF THE COUNCIL OF THE
<br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY DESIGNATING PRECINCTS AND POLLING PLACES AND APPOINTING MEMBERS
<br />OF PRECINCT BOARDS FOR GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD ON TUESDAY, APRIL 14,
<br />1970, AND DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH OR CAUSE TO BE PUBLISHED A NOTICE OF
<br />ELECTION, LIST OF ELECTION OFFICERS AND POLLING PLACES AND NOTICE OF NOMINEES FOR
<br />PUBLIC OFFICE, seconded by Councilman Keckley, and carried on roll call vote,
<br />Councilman Arnett moved to introduce Ordinance appropriating $35,000 from unappropriated
<br />balance of Special Gas Tax Street Improvement Fund to provide for street lighting
<br />improvements for Woodside Road, seconded by Councilman Henderson. Councilman
<br />Keckley questioned the need to appropriate the full $35,000 since a portion of that
<br />amount is to be paid by the County. City Manager responded that the total appro-
<br />priation is normally made in order to insure money is available so as to be in
<br />
