usual guarantees. Motion carried. (MINUTE ORDER # 70-40)
REPORT OF BID OPENING, High Intensity Mobile Light Tower, Fire Department. Following
was the only bid received:
Electro Motion Pacific, Inc. $5,024.25
$4300 had been budgeted for this equipment, and Staff recommended that the bid be
accepted and that the additional $724.25 be provided out of the Civil Defense
Account, City Manager advised that the originally budgeted funds provided for
equipment with generating power of only 62 KW, rather than 72 KW, and that the
revised specifications called for diesel -powered drive unit, rather than gasoline -
powered.
Councilman Rosselli moved to adopt RESOLUTION N0. 6232 AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE
FURNISHING OF ONE HIGH INTENSITY MOBILE LIGHT TOWER, seconded by Councilman
Petersen and carried on roll call vote.
Public discussion on use of firearms by Peace Officers, and report of Council's Special
Studies Committee,
Councilman Rosselli indicated that, before beginning this discussion he wished to
protest the fact he had not received his agenda material in the normal delivery,
which included the Committee's report, and further that he felt it inappropriate
to release that report as noted in a local newspaper prior to the public discus-
sion.
