339 Councilman Rosselli announced Annual Dinner of the Redwood Chapter of the Salvation Army was to be held at Marine World , May 20th , and invited Council members to attend . Councilman Rosselli also advised he had attended a special meeting of the Bay Area Transportation Committee (BATS ) : at which a meeting had been set for the Claremont Hotel , Berkeley , on June 4th as date for Report to be submitted and terminating this Committee at a press conference , to which the Governor had also been .. invited to ad- dress the group . Councilman Henderson asked permission to attend seminar on Neighborhood Development to be held in San Francisco May 21st , Jack Tar Hotel , registration fee of $ 25 . 00 , including luncheon . Councilman Rosselli asked that he also be given permission to attend this meeting , if it were possible for him to go . Councilman Petersen requested permission to attend Freeway Transportation Committee meet- ing to be held on June 6th in Sacramento . Councilman Keckley moved to authorize attendance of Council members as requested , includ - ing advance of funds , if requested , seconded by Councilman. Arnett and carried ( MINUTE ORDER #69- 93 ) . Councilman Rosselli moved to adjourn to May 15 , 1969 , 7 : 30 P . M . , Community Activities Building , for Budget Study , and by adoption of RESOLUTION NO . 5989 COMMEMORATING THE MEMORY OF MRS . MOORE , City Clerk Minutes of Adjourned Regular Meeting Redwood City Council May 15 , 1969 7 : 30 P . M . Meeting called to order by Vice Mayor Herbert G . Petersen at 7 : 31 P . M . ON ROLL CALL the following were noted present : Councilmen Dixon Arnett , Mary W . Henderson , Herbert G . Petersen , John S . Rosselli , Ray A . Weymouth , and City Clerk Helen C . Moore , Councilman Keckley entered the meeting at 8 : 05 P .M . Mayor Robert H . Bury entered the meeting at 7 : 43 P . M . Also noted present were City Manager Howard C . Ullrich , Assistant City Manager Henry V . Burget , and Auditor-Accountant Jack Ference . The South San Mateo County Refuse Disposal District "Ad Hoc " Committee recommendations were summarized by theCity Manager , who had submitted a written report and recom- mendation for the Council ' s consideration . The Council questioned a possible rate increase if the District were dissolved and County took over operations ; the date of the cash on hand distribution , and pro - posed sites to be acquired for use when this area is completely filled , The City Manager stated there probably will be rate increases because of the need for better fill and compaction , and better engineering of the area to provide for future use . The Council discussed the recommended 18 months period before distribution of liquid assets , which he explained was needed by the County to take over the operation and accumulate operating capital . m 15 'S
