( MINUTE ORDER 1169 -- 100 ) <br /> Request of Francis H . Bock , Jr . , Adjutant of Cpl . James <br /> Lindsay Wilson Post #2310 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars , <br /> for permission to conduct public services honoring our <br /> Nation and veterans at the traditional hour of 11 : 00 A . M . , <br /> on November 11 , 1969 , and inviting Council members and all <br /> City officials to participate ( copy submitted to Council ) . <br /> Acknowledgement from Executive Director of BCDC , of Council ' s <br /> resolution supporting continuance of their Commission ( copy <br /> submitted to Council ) . <br /> Mayor Bury asked that a copy of Council ' s resolution supporting this Commission be <br /> sent to Mrs . Jean Travers , since he had recently received a communication from her <br /> on this subject . <br /> Communication from Councilman Mary C . Davey , of Town of Los <br /> Altos Hills , urging Council ' s support of a resolution endor - <br /> sing a four county agreement to save Skyline Boulevard such <br /> as that enclosed and adopted by a group of women in that <br /> area ( copy submitted to Council ) . <br /> Communication from Mayor of Town of Emeryville urging Councilts <br /> supporting a resolution urging legislation protecting home rule <br /> ( copy submitted to Council ) . <br /> Mayor Bury asked that this communication be referred to the Council ' s ABAG representa - <br /> tives . <br /> Copy of communication from the Interservice Coordinating Council <br /> of Redwood City , representing 20 service organizations , endorsing <br /> the drive to implement " 911 " emergency dialing ( copy submitted to <br /> Council ) . <br /> City Manager advised this subject had been investigated and Staff still attempting <br /> to get further information to bring to Council because of its potential in new Civic <br /> Center planning . He stated question at this time would be whether enough cities <br /> were willing to go into it to make it feasible , as costs were considerable , but <br /> that a report would be made to Council on this subject as soon as possible .
