It was stated Personnel <br /> Board had approved Staff ' s recommendation . <br /> It was also reported a well qualified Planning and Zoning Technician was available , <br /> after a difficult recruitment period and eligible list being established , if hiring <br /> authorized at Third Step in order that he not be forced to take a cut in pay from <br /> his present position . Staff reported this ordinance would provide <br /> for an annual salary of 619 , 600 for the new Police Chief .
