X41 rezoning on Woodside and Alameda ( copy submitted to Council ) Copy of communication from Mr . H . Brown , 6 Hillview Avenue , expressing appreciation of the Annual Report received by him and congratulating the City ( copy submitted to Council ) Communication addressed to Mayor Bury from Dennis Woodman expressing his desire to serve on the Park and Recreation Commission ( copy submitted to Council ) Mayor Bury stated he had received inquiries from a number of persons interested in serving on the Park and Recreation Commission since vacancy announced and also from persons interested in serving on the other committees to be formed relating to the General Plan Study . Councilman Arnett also advised he had been approached by persons interested in serving on committees since article in the newspaper had stirred interest along these lines of citizen participa - tion . After discussion of best procedure for handling such requests , and making all interested applicants known to all Council members for possible nominations to be made , it was decided names of all interested persons should be submitted to Mayor Bury , who would make information available to all Council members ( Memo 1/21/69 ) Councilman Keckley moved to adjourn , seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried . Cunningham, Woodside Road Community Methodist Church * ON ROLL CALL the following were noted present : Councilmen Dixon Arnett , Mary W . Henderson , Paul C . Keckley , Herbert G . Petersen , John S . Rosselli , Ray A . Weymouth , Mayor Robert H . Bury , and City Clerk Helen C . Moore . Also noted present were City Manager Howard C . Ullrich , Assistant City Attorney James Thomas , Assistant City Manager Henry V . Burget , Police Chief William Faulstich , Captain Joel Mansfield , Fire Chief J . L . Lodi , Director of Public Works J . Louis Scherer , Planning Director Ken Schroeter , Auditor-Accountant Jack Ference , Park Superintendent Pasco Balzarini , and Deputy City Clerk Marian McCrindle . Councilman Keckley moved to approve Minutes of Regular Meeting of January 20 , 1969 , as mailed , seconded by Councilman Arnett and carried . Mayor Bury displayed the Junior Chamber of Commerce engraved plaque which had been awarded to Police Chief William Faulstich as the first recipient , in recog- nition of his outstanding performance in law enforcement . They have established a "Bill Faulstich Award " which will be made a yearly event hereafter , to be awarded to law enforcement officers in recognition of outstanding contributions in this field , JAN 27 .69
