Brown , 6 Hillview <br /> Avenue , expressing appreciation of the Annual Report <br /> received by him and congratulating the City ( copy <br /> submitted to Council ) <br /> Communication addressed to Mayor Bury from Dennis <br /> Woodman expressing his desire to serve on the Park <br /> and Recreation Commission ( copy submitted to Council ) <br /> Mayor Bury stated he had received inquiries from a number of persons interested <br /> in serving on the Park and Recreation Commission since vacancy announced and <br /> also from persons interested in serving on the other committees to be formed <br /> relating to the General Plan Study . Councilman Arnett also advised he had <br /> been approached by persons interested in serving on committees since article <br /> in the newspaper had stirred interest along these lines of citizen participa - <br /> tion . <br /> After discussion of best procedure for handling such requests , and making all <br /> interested applicants known to all Council members for possible nominations <br /> to be made , it was decided names of all interested persons should be submitted <br /> to Mayor Bury , who would make information available to all Council members <br /> ( Memo 1/21/69 ) <br /> Councilman Keckley moved to adjourn , seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried . <br /> Meeting adjourned at 8 : 50 P .M . <br /> 1 <br /> tr,c9 _tn <br /> HELEN <br /> c . Cunningham, Woodside Road Community Methodist <br /> Church * <br /> ON ROLL CALL the following were noted present : Councilmen Dixon Arnett , Mary W . <br /> Henderson , Paul C . Keckley , Herbert G . Petersen , John S . Rosselli , Ray A . <br /> Weymouth , Mayor Robert H . Bury , and City Clerk Helen C . Moore . Also noted <br /> present were City Manager Howard C . Ullrich , Assistant City Attorney James <br /> Thomas , Assistant City Manager Henry V . Burget , Police Chief William Faulstich , <br /> Captain Joel Mansfield , Fire Chief J . L . Lodi , Director of Public Works J . Louis <br /> Scherer , Planning Director Ken Schroeter , Auditor-Accountant Jack Ference , Park <br /> Superintendent Pasco Balzarini , and Deputy City Clerk Marian McCrindle . <br /> Councilman Keckley moved to approve Minutes of Regular Meeting of January 20 , 1969 , <br /> as mailed , seconded by Councilman Arnett and carried . <br /> Mayor Bury displayed the Junior Chamber of Commerce engraved plaque which had <br /> been awarded to Police Chief William Faulstich as the first recipient , in recog- <br /> nition of his outstanding performance in law enforcement . They have established <br /> a "Bill Faulstich Award " which will be made a yearly event hereafter , to be <br /> awarded to law enforcement officers in recognition of outstanding contributions <br /> in this field , <br /> JAN 27 .69 <br />
