4665 <br /> involved , seconded by Councilman Arnett and carried ( MINUTE ORDER #69 -184 ) . <br /> Mayor Bury noted rally for Bay Area Crusade will be September 2hth . Fe report - <br /> ed also that a resident on Highlands Avenue had inquired as to installation date <br /> of cable television in that area . City Manager advised that the firm has until <br /> December 17th to complete the contract and report is due next week . There was <br /> as to what was meant by " completion " of system and it was explained that it <br /> was the understanding this meant completion of installation of transmission <br /> facilities to serve all of the various areas of Redwood City , except Redwood <br /> Shores , where the contract calls for installing as housing is built . Also , <br /> that installation be made of necessary lines and equipment to serve everyone <br /> in Redwood City who desires it . <br /> It was brought out that there have been numerous complaints regarding elapsed <br /> time between receiving the company ' s mailer and receiving the service . Also , <br /> damage to trees , fences and other private property caused by workmen , as well. <br /> as failure to keep appointments to make connections . Others , living in the <br /> area where installations should now be complete , have not been contacted by <br /> the Company and invited to subscribe to the service . <br /> It was believed the Peninsula Cable Television Corporation should be made aware <br /> of the concern expressed by Council , and Mayor Bury indicated to City Manager <br /> that ample time should be allotted on the Agenda for the thorough report of <br /> the Company ' s representative next week ( Memo 9/16/69 ) . <br /> Councilman Rosselli moved to adjourn , seconded by Councilman Arnett and carried . <br /> Meeting adjourned at 8 : 30 P .
