Seals , 2522 Goodwin Avenue , urging <br /> certain considerations for flood and erosion <br /> control for Stulsaft Branch of Redwood Creek <br /> ( Copy submitted to Council ) , <br /> Board of Supervisors of Marin County enclosing <br /> copy of their Resolution urging completion of <br /> acquisition of Point Reyes National Seashore and urging <br /> Council to take a similar action ( Copy submitted to <br /> Council ) . <br /> Mayor Bury asked that this communication be referred to the Legislative <br /> Committee ( Memo 9/23/69 ) . <br /> Resolution from City Council of Seal Beach requesting <br /> Resolution Committee of the League of California Cities to <br /> submit a Resolution of the League ' s annual convention opposing <br /> any change in the current tax exemption on State and Local <br /> Government Bond interest ( copy submitted to Council ) . <br /> Mayor Bury reported on communication received from Sequoia <br /> Key Club offering to help in obtaining benches for City ' s <br /> mini buses , and which he felt appropriate to refer to the <br /> Council ' s Transportation Committee ( Memo 9/23/69 ) . <br /> Mayor Bury requested Council ' s permission to be absent from the State for two <br /> weeks , September 26th October 13th ; approved on motion of Councilman <br /> Rosselli , seconded by Councilman Arnett and carried ( MINUTE ORDER #69 -189 ). <br /> Councilman Henderson questioned reason for revised Ordinance on Civil Defense <br /> which had been referred to Council for review and proposed for action next <br /> week since no cover report had been submitted . City Attorney explained revised <br /> Ordinance makes more specific certain authority of the Director of Civil <br /> Defense and Disaster ( The Mayor ) specifically the area of curfew to accomodate <br /> the covering of civil commotion such as has prevailed past few years . Neighboring <br /> communities have enacted similar ordinances . <br /> Councilman Rosselli moved to adjourn to Executive Session , secondedby Council. - <br /> man Keckley and carried . <br /> Executive Session called to order at 10 : 20 P . M . with Councilmen only being <br /> present ( Councilman Weymouth noted being absent ) . <br /> Mayor reconvened the regular meeting and upon motion by Councilman Petersen <br /> seconded by Councilman Henderson , meeting adjourned at 10 : 40 P .
