47 .7 <br /> Councilman Keckley moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO . 6118 AWARDING CONTRACT FOR FURNISHING <br /> OF TWO PRE-FABRICATED METAL COMFORT STATIONS , seconded by Councilman Rosselli and <br /> carried on roll call vote , Mayor Bury being noted absent . <br /> Councilman Weymouth moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO , 6119 APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS AND <br /> CONTRACT DOCUMENTS FOR THREE 3-WHEEL GASOLINE TRAFFIC VEHICLES ; AND AUTHORIZING <br /> THE CITY CLERK TO CALL FOR BIDS THEREFOR , seconded by Councilman Henderson and <br /> carried on roll call vote , Mayor Bury being noted absent . <br /> Councilman Keckley moved to introduce Ordinance repealing Sections 10 . 9 , 10 . 12 , and <br /> — 10 . 13 and adding Sections 10 . 9 , 10 . 12 , 10 . 13 , 10 . 14 and 10 . 15 to Chapter 10 <br /> of the Code of the City of Redwood City , relating to Civil Defense and Disaster , <br /> seconded by Councilman Henderson . <br /> On question , Councilman Henderson requested further details as to the six citizen <br /> members comprisingthe composition of the Civil Defense and Disaster Council and <br /> why authority changed from City Council to this Disater Council to confirm disaster <br /> proclamations . After further discussion , it was agreed action be withheld on <br /> this matter until a report made to Council advising of the status of the Citizens <br /> Disaster Council and why authority vested in Council had been changed . <br /> Motion to introduce Ordinance rescinded . Vice -Mayor requested that a complete <br /> report be submitted by Staff and this matter be placed on next week ' s Agenda <br /> ( Memo 10/7/69 ) . <br /> Councilman Rosselli moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO , 612.0 APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS <br /> FOR INSTALLATION OF AN ELECTRICAL POWER SYSTEM FOR CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS ON <br /> BROADWAY, BETWEEN MAIN STREET AND EL CAMINO REAL ; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK <br /> TO CALL FOR BIDS THEREFOR , seconded by Councilman Arnett . <br /> Vice-Mayor Petersen explained costs of this project were to be paid by the <br /> Redwood City Downtown Association in the amount of $ 6000 , for installation of an <br /> electrical power system for Christmas decorations on Broadway , between Main Street <br /> and El Camino Real . <br /> In reply to question of whether an agreement was necessary with the Downtown <br /> Association , City Attorney stated this action only authorized approval of specifications <br /> and call for bids , and that the reimbursement of funds was controlled by the <br /> Budget of the Downtown Association which must be approved each year by the Council , <br /> and that such funds were already committed for this purpose by the Association <br /> to reimburse City at 32000 per year for next three years . <br /> Director of Public Works advised it had been discovered since report to Council <br /> that only 18 transformers could be used , as system could only handle this number . <br /> Motion carried on roll call vote , Mayor Bury being noted absent . <br /> Vice -Mayor requested that roll call be rescinded , since it was apparent further <br /> information was being requested from the audience . <br /> Floyd Granger , 1827 Brewster Avenue , questioned whether <br /> tree at Circle Park, Broadway and Brewster , would be <br /> included in this lighting circuit . <br /> City Manager advised this system would not specifically include this area, but <br /> lighting was being planned for this specific tree . Motion carried on roll call <br /> vote , Mayor Bury being noted absent . <br /> Councilman Henderson moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO . 6121 REQUESTING CONSENT OF THE <br /> BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO TO THE EXERCISE OF EXTRATERRITORIAL <br /> JURISDICTION TO UNDERTAKE PROCEEDINGS FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF AN UNDERGROUND <br /> UTILITY DISTRICT INCLUDING CERTAIN PARCELS OF REAL PROPERTY IN UNINCORPORATED <br /> AREAS OF THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO AND TO BE ESTABLISHED IN CONNECTION WITH THE <br /> CONSTRUCTION OF CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS TO WOODSIDE ROAD IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> AND SAID COUNTY , seconded by Councilman Keckley . <br /> OCT 6 .69 <br />
