<br /> Councilman Keckley moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO , 6123 APPROPRIATING FROM UNAPPRORPRIATED
<br /> BALANCE OF SPECIAL DEPOSITS FUND THE SUM OF $ 500 FOR PURCHASE OF SUPPLIES AND
<br /> SERVICES BY RECREATION DEPARTMENT, AND THE SUM OF $2 , 000 TO PROVIDE FOR ACTIVITIES
<br /> OF REDWOOD CITY POLICE YOUTH CLUB, seconded by Councilman Rosselli .
<br /> Police Chief and Recreation Director recommended that $500 of the $2500 received
<br /> from the San Francisco 49ers be used for the Juventus Junior Soccer Team , and
<br /> remaining $2000 be expended in support of the Police Youth Club . It was also noted
<br /> that agreement proposed between the Police Youth Club and City provided for the
<br /> necessary accounting of these funds , exactly as was done last year .
<br /> Councilman Weymouth noted that he had thanked benefactors personally on behalf of
<br /> the Council at the 4934 luncheon ,
<br /> Motion carried on roll call vote , Mayor Bury being noted absent .
<br /> Councilman Rosselli moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO . 6124 APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING
<br /> EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT WITH REDWOOD CITY POLICE YOUTH CLUB RELATING TO EXPENDITURES
<br /> OF FUNDS , seconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried on roll call vote , Mayor
<br /> Bury beingrated absent .
<br /> Councilman Henderson moved to adopt ORDINANCE NO . 1427 APPROPRIATING FROM UNAPPRO-
<br /> PRIATED BALANCE OF BUDGETED RESERVES OF GENERAL FUND $11 , 737 FOR PAYMENT OF SALARIES ,
<br /> AND $ 1 , 000 FOR CONTRACTUAL SERVICES , FOR DEPARTMENT OF CITY MANAGER , PERSONNEL
<br /> ADMINISTRATION, seconded by Councilman Keckley .
<br /> On question , Councilman Rosselli again expressed his opposition to the creation
<br /> of a Personnel Department with attached costs as felt it was not needed at this
<br /> time , and expressed his concern for saving taxpayers ' monies and his feeling present
<br /> City personnel could be assigned this job without creating a new Department .
<br /> Motion carried on roll call vote , Councilman Rosselli voting no , Mayor Bury being
<br /> noted absent .
