M . <br /> Pledge of Allegiance led by Councilman Rosselli . <br /> Invocation led by Reverend John P . Uhlig , Redeemer Lutheran Church . <br /> ON ROLL CALL the following were noted present : Councilman Dixon Arnett , Paul C . <br /> Keckley, John S . Rosselli , Ray A . Weymouth , Mayor Robert H . Bury , and City Clerk <br /> Helen C . Moore . Councilmen Mary W . Henderson and Herbert G . Petersen were noted <br /> absent . Also noted present were City Manager Howard C . L;llrich , City Attorney <br /> David E . Schricker , Assistant City Manager Henry V . Burget , Police Chief John <br /> R . McDonald , Deputy Fire Chief John Keller , Director of Public Works J . Louis <br /> Scherer , Planning Director Ken Schroeter , Auditor-Accountant Jack Ference , Chief <br /> Building Official Charles Gyselbrecht , and Deputy City Clerk Marian McCrindle . <br /> Councilman Keckley moved to approve Minutes of Regular Meeting of October 6 , 1969 , as <br /> corrected , ( " Students assigned to Government Affairs Program were selected by <br /> High School ' s own student governing organization " , instead of " from " , and that <br /> program had been approved by the "Associated Students Congress " instead of the <br /> Student Body Council ) , seconded by Councilman Arnett and carried . <br /> Mayor Bury explained for those present the Government Affairs Program now in effect <br /> with high school students as interns to Council , with program envisioned in the <br /> hope of bridging gap between local government and students residing within our <br /> community . He also noted other students had been selected to serve internship with <br /> other City Commissions . <br /> PUBLIC HEARING , Application of McKELVY & LAZZARINI INVESTMENT CORPORATION , to amend <br /> Zoning Map to rezone property located at 949 Veterans Boulevard ; Portion of Lot <br /> 3 , Block 1 , Motor City , from " IP-V " ( Industrial Park-Vehicular Combining ) District <br /> to "CP " ( Commercial Park ) District , declared open and affidavits of publication <br /> and mailing ordered filed . <br /> Planning Commission at their meeting of September 23rd , recommended the rezoning <br /> be approved * Staff report submitted previously to Council indicated adjacent <br /> property had already been rezoned to " CP " District , and subsequently a Use Permit <br /> had been requested and denied for a service station , primarily on basis of the <br /> design which had been rejected by the Architectural Committee . It was noted the <br /> present application requested an expansion of the " CP District to permit a better <br /> site design for a service station at this site by another. company . <br /> There being no communications or oral protest , Councilman Rosselli moved to close <br /> the public hearing , seconded by Councilman Arnett and carried . <br /> Councilman Rosselli moved to introduce Ordinance adding Section 60 . 1 . 1 to Ordinance <br /> No . 1130 , the Redwood City Zoning Ordinance , rezoning property in the vicinity of <br /> Veterans Boulevard and Main Street , seconded by Councilman Keckley and carried . <br /> PUBLIC HEARING , Resolution of Intention of Planning Commission in amend the Zoning Map <br /> to rezone property located at 1700 to 2500 Block, East Bayshore Road , from " IR " <br /> ( Industrial - Restricted ) District to "IR-T " ( Industrial -Restricted-Transient <br /> Residential Units Combining ) District , declared open and affidavits of publication <br /> and mailing ordered filed . <br /> Planning Commission at their meeting of September 23rd , recommended the rezoning <br /> be approved as recommended . Staff report submitted previously to Council indicated <br /> this rezoning by the Planning Commission was an outgrowth of the application <br /> CO _ .: 69 <br />
