221, <br /> First would be meeting of Staff , preliminary design , preliminary working <br /> drawings , construction , and moving in . <br /> In response to question regarding time , City Manager stated it was the con- <br /> sensus that three years would be required from approval of contract to " Open <br /> House " and move - in date . He added that the architectural firm being recom- <br /> mended had finished the working drawings for Daly City in 6 months . How - <br /> ever, the Civic Center project for Redwood City is significantly larger . This <br /> firm also designed the San Jose Civic Center . Motion carried ( MINUTE ORDER <br /> #69- 1 ) <br /> Councilman Arnett left the meeting at 8 : 17 P . M . <br /> Councilman Petersen moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO , 5864 APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING <br /> EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR PROFESSIONAL AUDITING SERVICES , FISCAL YEAR <br /> 1968 -69 ( C . G . Uhlenberg & Company ) , seconded by Councilman Weymouth and <br /> carried on roll call vote , Councilman Arnett being noted absent . <br /> Report of Transportation Committee - Municpal Buses , was presented by Councilman <br /> Petersen , Chairman , who informed the Council that no bids were received in <br /> response to City advertising for lease of advertising space on City buses , <br /> and stated he had spoken with several people interested in advertising , <br /> but who considered the minimum bid of $40 . 00 too high . It was the Committee ' s <br /> decision to recommend to Council to readvertise for bids , but to reduce the <br /> minimum bid to $20 . 00 per month per bus . <br /> Councilman Petersen commented on an item in theCity Manager ' s report in which <br /> it was stated that the City would be instituting an exact fare system in <br /> approximately two weeks . The Transportation Committee is requesting this <br /> not be done at this time . <br /> Councilman Henderson suggested the space might be used for advertising for <br /> the City ' s own purposes , and questioned the advantage of leasing the space <br /> in view of the costs of avertising for bids and related expense involved . <br /> Councilman Petersen agreed , but indicated the Committee felt that even at the <br /> new minimum bid , the revenue would be worthwhile to the City . Councilman <br /> Henderson stated she believed there would be benefit to the City by advertising <br /> its own events , facilities , etc . Councilman Keckley advised this had been <br /> discussed , but believed that until the system is on a paying basis , it needs <br /> whatever revenue can be earned from this source . <br /> Councilman Rosselli moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO , 5865 APPROVING REVISED BID <br /> DOCUMENTS FOR RENTAL OF ADVERTISING SPACE - MUNICIPAL TRANSIT SYSTEM - AND <br /> AUTHORIZING CITY CLERK TO READVERTISE FOR BIDS , seconded by Councilman <br /> Henderson and carried on roll call vote , Councilman Arnett being noted absent . <br /> Councilman Petersen moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO . 5866 APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING <br /> EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES , seconded by Councl - <br /> man Keckley . <br /> Council questioned whether the firm of Ribera and Sue acted in this capacity <br /> for any other cities , and City Manager advised the City of Oakland had <br /> utilized their services , and that the firm was well acquainted with municipal <br /> t � <br />
