( MINUTE ORDER #69 -234 ) <br /> Councilman Keckley moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO . 6166 GRANTING EXCEPTIONS TO CERTAIN <br /> PROVISIONS OF CHAPTER 30 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY , BEING THE <br /> SUBDIVISION REGULATIONS OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY - - TERRACE INVESTORS , seconded <br /> by Councilman Rosselli . <br /> Councilman Henderson noted that the Planning Commission recommendation for granting <br /> the exception came with certain conditions , and questioned if the applicant was <br /> willing to accept those . Planning Director advised it was his understanding applicant <br /> is satisfied that Planning Commission had approved request for exceptions but that <br /> the decision whether to allow permit to lapse or whether he would proceed to sub - <br /> divide under the conditions imposed , could be deciced at a later time . <br /> It was further questioned whether subdivision would stand permanently if action <br /> taken for approval , and Attorney responded that subdivision proceedings would have <br /> to be completed as under the Ordinance , or lapse . Motion carried on roll call <br /> vote . <br /> REPORT OF BID OPENING , Irrigation System at Hawes Park . The following bids were received : <br /> Munkdale Bros . , Inc . $ 5 , 632 . 00 <br /> A & J Shooter , Inc . 5 , 829 . 00 <br /> Batista Landscape Service , Inc . 6 , 147 . 00 <br /> Mas Tsuda , Inc . 6 , 578 . 00 <br /> Estimated costs $ 6 , 900 . 00 <br /> Staff recommended the low bid of Munkdale , Inc . to be accepted . Funds had been <br /> budgeted for the project . <br /> Councilman Rosselli moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO . 6167 AWARDING CONTRACT FOR CON - <br /> / STRUCTION OF AN IRRIGATION SYSTEM AT HAWES PARK , HUDSON STREET AND OAK AVENUE ; <br /> REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS RECEIVED ; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF CONTRACT FOR SAID WORK ; <br /> AND DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS , seconded by Councilman Arnett and carried <br /> on roll call vote . <br /> Councilman Henderson moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO , 6168 APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING <br /> EXECUTION OF REVOCABLE ENCROACHMENT PERMIT RELATING TO USE OF CERTAIN CITY <br /> PROPERTY FOR LANDSCAPING PURPOSES ; SHELL OIL COMPANY , seconded by Councilman <br /> Weymouth . <br /> Staff reported Shell Oil Company was granted a Use Permit on September 23 , 1969 , <br /> to rebuild their service station , subject to certain conditions , one being approval <br /> by Architectural Committee , which subsequently imposed certain additional conditions <br /> requiring planters in public sidewalk area on Roosevelt before approval of the plan . <br /> Plans were approved by Planning Commission and Department of Public Works . Motion <br /> carried on roll call vote . <br /> Councilman Weymouth moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO . 6169 GRANTING CONDITIONAL SEWER CONNECTION <br /> PERMIT TO PREMISES SITUATE OUTSIDE CITY LIMITS PURSUANT TO SECTION 27 . 21 . 1 OF THE <br /> CITY CODE ; AND STATING CONDITIONS THEREOF AND FEES THEREFOR ( ROYER ) , seconded by <br /> Councilman Keckley . <br /> Noting that application had been made for subdivision through the County , Council <br /> questioned whether this had been granted , and City Manager stated it was his under - <br /> standing conditional approval had been given , subject to approval of City for <br /> connection to Redwood City ' s sanitary sewer system . <br /> arc <br />
